Scythe releases today a revised version of the premium High-End CPU Cooler Fuma 2. Based on the classic Fuma 2 asymmetrical heatsink design, the award-winning twin tower cooler is now upgraded with two new Kaze Flex II fans. The new fans increase the airflow by speeding up to 1500 RPM and the rubber frame design guarantees grand noise reduction. For many Intel 12th Gen CPU users, the concern about the additional purchase of the LGA 1700 mounting kit can now rest assured. The Scythe H.P.M.S. IV mounting System now offers full Intel LGA 1700 support. The Scythe Fuma 2 Rev.B CPU cooler is now available in the US, Japan, Taiwan markets.

For the availability for other regions, kindly refer to the local agents.

For European Market, the Fuma 2 Rev.B will be available in April 2022 due to a shipping delay.

Interested to see how much is improved, but I'd wager it's minor for someone already on a Fuma 2. Love mine though, does a fantastic job taming a 5900X

Good news! The Fuma was designed for acoustics rather than extreme performance, and so was largely limited by its fans.

Fuma 2 specs:
fan 1 - 120x27 mm, 1200 rpm, 51.17 cfm, 1.05 mm H20
fan 2 - 120x17 mm, 1200 rpm, 33.86 cfm, 0.90 mm H20

Fuma 2 rev.B specs:
fan 1 - 120x26 mm, 1500 rpm, 67.62 cfm, 1.50 mm H20
fan 2 - 120x15 mm, 1500 rpm, 39.44 cfm, 0.96 mm H20

The extra airflow and higher static pressure should put rev.B closer to the Dark Rock Pro 4 and NH-D15/U12A in terms of cooling.

I hope we get an air cooler someday that beats a D15/U12A by a good 3-4 celsius. I think once we reach that point (dba normalized for the testing of course) we will be reaching limit of physics for a mass produced item. lol

not a lot can be done with cpu coolers except make them bigger.. this applies to both air and water.. bigger tends to mean quieter.. quieter is important for most people..

bigger does seem to have reached its limit though..

This is by far 1 of the best dual tower for the price. The higher RPM fans may help a little, but I am doubtful that it will make a significant difference in performance, i.e. perhaps like 2 Degrees C difference, depending on the setup and ambient temp. There were reviews done on this cooler, using faster fans like the Noctua NFA 12x25, but there was not meaningful improvement in temps. Looking forward to see a review of the revised version.

If only they made a 140mm tall version of this, that can fit in a Corsair 280X...
