who is this for the maassive market of 1060s or lower? even then it might be bad or a lateral upgrade wasting money of the ppl the card is intended for poor ppl
fail miserably for poor ppl because 150us to 170us is expensive to poor ppl, actually any gpu on 70 to 75us maybe more adequate to poor ppl

What part of Small Form Factor (SFF) don't you understand, simlife. Nothing to do with being poor - it is the form factor.

GTX 1650 in SFF only had 3 cards - a MSI (trash), Gigabyte (issues with cooling), and Zotac (best of the bunch). When you can find one, they are between 300 (used) - 400USD (new).

AMD hasn't made a LP card since the RX 560.

This is long overdue.

This can be great in a pinch instead of things the ancient gt1030 or gt730 but I'd rather wait for the cheapest Intel Arc that will have a full media engine and 4 display outs (whenever they finally launch it  )
Will that have a low profile version, though?

There was also an Asus one with a plastic backplate. I've been trying to find one for months, but they're very rare, and as you said, they go for way above £300, which I don't find worth it for my HTPC when even the whole system doesn't cost as much.

Except that low profile 1650s have been unavailable for months now, at least here in the UK. So the 6400 might be garbage, but it only has to exist on store shelves to win.

Well, my HTPC has a Ryzen 3 CPU in it, so IGP is not an option. I currently have a 1030 in it, which doesn't do 4K 60 Hz with full 8-bit colour and no chroma subsampling as its output is only HDMI 1.4, I think.

I also happen to have a 4th gen Core i7 with a mini-ITX board, but the HD Graphics 4400 is even worse in the decode / video output department than the 1030 or the 6400, so it's a no-go.

Low profile variants of the 1650 are pretty much non-existent, as I said. The ones I occasionally find on ebay sell for about 300 quid. Expensive AF, if you ask me.

So yeah, a 6400 for 160 USD that is actually available, seems like a winner to me. Its closest (only?) competitor on the green side is the 100-quid GT 1030 which doesn't come anywhere near 1650 level.

obiously amd igp lack of many things and gt 1030 also lack of various things because is pascal based, without forget is severely reduced features compared upper tier on pascal but in pascal time AV1 dont appear until lastest time with ampere

but actual intel igps xe based are much better than intel 4th gen igp maybe can give a chance because changes are big between older arch used in 4th gen igp and xe arch used in 11gen /12gen igps

Sorry, but I'm not gonna throw an Asus Tuf motherboard and a Ryzen 3 out of the window just to have a modern (but weak) Intel IGP when I could just upgrade my 1030 for the same money. ;)

That's not a bad plan, but a 6400 still appears to be a fair bit cheaper. :D

If AMD released the 5300G for the retail market, that would be the best choice.
