SAPPHIRE Technology announces the new PULSE AMD Radeon RX 6400 Graphics Card with quiet and efficient 1080p gaming graphics. With a compact, single slot low-profile design with classic PULSE red accents, it is an ideal component for small form factor builds. Enable TriXX Boost on the PULSE AMD Radeon RX 6400 Graphics Card to maximize gaming experience with a boost in frames.

Built using 6 nm process technology, the PULSE AMD Radeon RX 6400 Graphics Card headlines with 768 stream processors running with a Boost Clock of up to 2321 MHz and a Game Clock of up to 2039 MHz. The latest GDDR6 high-speed memory clocked at 16 Gbps Effective, with 16 MB of AMD Infinity Cache memory technology, which reduces latency and power consumption, enabling high overall gaming performance. To support the latest display monitors in the market, it is equipped with output ports including HDMI and DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC outputs. The PULSE AMD Radeon RX 6400 Graphics Card series features 12 powerful Compute Units and 12 Ray Accelerators.

Optimized Axial Fan Cooling Technology
The superb cooling of the PULSE AMD Radeon RX 6400 Graphics Card is powered by the dynamic Axial Fan Cooling Technology equipped with seven blades to create a quiet and cool gaming experience. The Fuse Protection feature is engineered into the circuit of the external PCIe power connector to preserve the components and protect the graphics card.

What's the problem? Not like the fan moves on itself too... it uses 1-2W too.

so my low profile GT 1030 can finally get a rest on ebay?

can i game on this a little and beat the 1650 low profile?

:p

75W from the slot should be plenty for low end efficency "gaming" video watching boxes

No problem at all. If it's not a typo, then it's a good thing more than anything. :)

I just find it strange that they moved the power limit, but didn't apply any factory overclock.

Depends on rest of your setup, if you have pcie 4.0 support, it can probably match GTX 1650, if you are on pcie 3.0.... well lets wait for benchmarks.

This would be a perfect card for those cheap used SFF HPs and Dells. And inb4 "but those are PCIe 3.0 at maximum", I bet that for a low-profile card, this is capable even with PCIe 3.0 with those older quadcore Intels.

OT:
i "scored" three Dell XE2 ( 9020SFF? ) from the trash fully working with i5-4570S, 300W PS and 2x4GB DDR3 each...
one was used with Win11 (Win 7 Key on the case ) with 240GB free Sandisk SSD and GT1030 2GB DDR3 from Gigabyte with 0€ investment gave it aways as fast pc to the "Kindergarden" which where shoter than short on pc's :p

I can see the PowerColor version available at UK stores for roughly £200. It sounds expensive, but to consider that your only other SFF option is the ancient GT 1030 for £100, I don't think it's too bad.

Although, I'm still hunting for this Sapphire version because it has a longer cooler than the PowerColor - I'm hoping that it makes it a tiny bit cooler and quieter, which is important for an HTPC.

this card is 99$ too expensive, where is the $59 option for me, i don't want to overpay for 2 outputs and no other usability. I mean games. really isn't an option. unless 720p suddenly becomes less ugly. A 100mm2 cut down die with a 64 bit bus really shouldn't cost arm and leg.

Yeah... the cheapest 6400 is ~230EUR and ~250EUR for the cheapest 6500 XT.

AMD seems to have found another source of income. They manufacture most of their CPUs without an IGPU, so now they're selling an iGPU in a form of an add-in card, so you can't use a low profile case. What a wonderful way to create more e-waste in a world moving (admittedly slowly) towards limiting this problem.

Everyone doesn't need a card for 4K144 gaming?

Wait, wut? This card is literally a low-profile card, takes one slot and even has a low-profile bracket? And even the low power consumption is great in media usage.

The GeForce GT 1030 costs £100. Low profile 1650s sells for around £250-300 on Ebay. Now there is a card that's also low profile, faster than the 1650, and people (you) want to have it for free. What's wrong with everyone? :kookoo: £50 is GT 710 territory. There's a multitude of reasons why you shouldn't buy one.

Exactly! This card is everything the 6500 XT should have been, in my opinion.

I'm still more than sure that some AIB makes an OC version with a power connector.. also XFX seems to have similar single-slot low-profile model :)

So far, I've only seen the ASRock Challenger and the MSi Aero ITX versions that are full height cards, but they come with the same 53 W power limit and reference clocks. Although, I only want this Sapphire Pulse for my HTPC - this one is low profile, with a slightly longer cooler than the rest. :) I just can't seem to find one (yet). :(

Asus Phoenix is also one dual-slot full height one.

Still an actively cooled card unsuitable for low profile cases. Barely better at playing games than an iGPU and not even better at decoding media than one. With 53W TDP there is no chance for a passively cooled version for media playback use. All in all, a very "meh" product, obviously existing just as a way of dumping low-end laptop GPUs on more markets

I'm pretty sure that an OEM SFF PC's CPU cooler is more audible than this card, and I guess too that a modern single-slot graphics card isn't as noisy as cards 15+ years ago.

Have you ever had a SFF system? I've had many, and honestly, active cooling is what you need when your case airflow is restricted.

Oh, and it's only twice as fast as a 5700G igp.

But there is one thing called progress. For example, the new RTX 4060 will be as fast as or faster than the old RTX 3090.
There should be something much faster than a GT 710 for the same cash and this is exactly the Radeon RX 6400 territory..

Have you looked hardware prices in the last two years? There is no such thing as GT 710 price range anymore. It's bad, but it's hardly the 6400's fault.
