EK, the premium liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is releasing a new Intel LGA 1700 socket-based monoblock belonging to the Quantum Line of products, the EK-Quantum Momentum² Aorus Z690 Master D-RGB - Plexi. This monoblock is engineered specifically for the AORUS MASTER Z690 motherboard from Aorus. The addressable D-RGB LED in the monoblock is compatible with Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0 control and offers a full lighting customization experience for every single diode at any given time. This monoblock is EK-Matrix7 compatible.

This is a complete all-in-one (CPU and motherboard) liquid cooling solution for Intel 12th generation Alter Lake processors and the monoblock is compatible with the LGA 1700 socketed Aorus Z690 Master motherboard. This monoblock features a special metal cover over the I/O section, which is used to mount the stock I/O cover over it. Thus not losing the factory-intended RGB lighting of the motherboard.

This monoblock uses the latest generation of EK Velocity² cooling engine to ensure the best possible CPU cooling while not reducing flow to other components. This water block directly cools the Intel Alder Lake CPU, VRM section, and the LAN controller.

Liquid flows directly over all critical areas, providing the enthusiasts with a great solution for high and stable overclocks. Like with every EK monoblock, the EK-Quantum Momentum² Aorus Z690 Master features a high flow design and it can be easily used with the system using weaker water pumps or lower pump speed settings as well. The Quantum Momentum² monoblock also comes with sophisticated D-RGB (addressable) lighting with a total of 20 LEDs. They connect to a standard 3-pin 5 V D-RGB addressable header.

The base of the monoblock is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of quality cast acrylic material. The nickel-plated brass screw-in standoffs are pre-installed and allow for easy installation.

A Digital (addressable) 3-pin 5 V D-RGB LED strip is installed in the monoblock that connects to the motherboard's 3-pin LED header or it can be connected to any other supported 5 V 3-pin LED controller. This product is compatible with Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0 software. The arrow marking on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector is to be aligned with the +5V marking on the addressable D-RGB header.

Availability and pricing
EK-Quantum Momentum² Aorus Z690 Master D-RGB - Plexi monoblock is made in Slovenia, Europe, and is readily available for pre-order through the EK Webshop and Partner Reseller Network. This Quantum Line monoblock will start shipping in early June 2022. In the table below you can see the manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) with VAT included.

MSRP: 209.90€. For more information, visit the product page.

I wonder how many more employees EK will fire when this block doesn't sell like they expect either.

I use to always buy mono blocks if they where available but with motherboard prices exploding it's no longer worth it imo.

I have this mobo but I would faster consider selling it than buying a full-cover block.

Useless, pointless and downright UGLY garage-made looking product. I guess this company hasn't evolved.

I see more layoffs in the future.

This is a weird block considering the the one for MSI X570S Carbon comes with a pump inside.

And here we have another monoblock that doesn't cool the M2 ssd.

imagine how much you would bitch if you had to drain your whole loop and dissemble part of it, such as removing a monoblock.....just to change out a m.2 SSD
it is more important to be able to change that component out as needed with ease rather than H20 cool it and spend a few hours of maintenance to pop in a different SSD

That board is on my radar for a Z690 build , that block (would prefer a non-rgb solid version) and a Barrow res+pump+rad would be to my liking.
