Any corrections that can be made in order to reimagine the strongest possible gaming PC?

Your choice of the 12900ks vs the 5800x3d could be controversial...

Switch to 3090 ti, not sure you can call 4090 publicly available yet. You may end up hurting with that many GPUs as games cannot really use more than 2 without the dangers of SLI, (somewhat rare these days) and you might be spreading your PCIe lanes thin.

Umm everything you posted. The CPU is totally dependent on what games the user intends to play, single or multi-core performance depends on the genre.
64gb of ram is pitifully low in terms of ddr5, storage capabilities have nothing to do with size, we know very little about the Nvidia 4000 series and how they will adapt to sli in real world use. This thread is a fantasy.

We are on the third gen quantum computer and have server rooms that are basically supercomputers, you could run AI and distribute to a remote location via broadband internet and need only a display and human interface devices to play at the highest resolution (lets call it 32k for now) on a picture perfect display the size of your wall with minimal lag but that's a lot of power to dedicate to a single user but it's theoretically the most powerful machine one could access and use for gaming purposes.

64gb ddr5 would have lower latency than 128 same way 16gb has lower latency than 32 if ddr5 is your choice, I would go with 32gb ddr4 at cl14 or cl15 4000mhz, 5800X3D and a single 3090ti because even the best sli system has twice the input lag of a single gpu (I ran sli 1070's for a long time so this is coming from experience), unless of course you have a 32k wall display in which case you might need the 4x 3090ti's.

Take away all the cards and replace with a single 3090ti.

Wouldn't you need Quadrosync for that? They don't support the gaming cards.

What's the point of the question? Is this a play-pretend build the strongest PC thread? Do we update our answers weekly as new hardware comes out, or are you planning on buying this system now?

Why 64GB, not 128? or 1TB?
Why is there even mechanical hard drives in a gaming PC? And laughably, LESS than the NVME storage?

No mention of RAM or SSD speeds or storage types

can be ever made
  • Firstly, the question is ridiculous. The answer will change at every new HW release cycle.
  • Secondly, a single 3090 Ti will be faster than 4 3090's as SLI is not supported in absolute most modern games.
  • Thirdly, if you game at 1080p and all you care is FPS, Ryzen 5800X3D might turn to be a lot faster than 12900KS in a lot of games.
  • Fourthly, you're out of the loop in terms of RAM capacity. With DDR5 you may have at the very least 128GB of RAM and I presume 64/128GB modules are not out of question either. This much RAM won't make games run faster, but you can install them completely on a RAM disk and cut their load times.
  • Having HDDs of any capacity is inconsequential and orthogonal to your question.
  • Are you in to waste as much money as possible?
20 years from now this "be ever made" will be an underpowered laughable PC.

Please let me know when you find a motherboard that will let you run a 12900KS/5800X3D and 4x 3090's in the first place. Bifurcation and splitters might work, but that would just be another bottleneck. A Threadripper build got the pcie lanes for 4 GPUs, but it would still be pointless for gaming. Since quad-sli is dead as a dodo anyway.

A case could be made for 2x 3090ti in sli, in the few cases that that still work. And that is also physically possible with a 12900KS or 5800X3D compatible motherboard without hacks.

The rest of your suggestions have been covered by other commenters.

A PC that you'll carry with a Trolley. Come back when you realize you need less than 1/4 of that for high end gaming. Those kind of setups are to be considered when you're diving into actual pro work. Like CAD / CAM and various other professional intentions - where more than one card actually benefits to dedicating renders, decreasing render times and such.

You could use a second GPU without SLI for hardware acceleration e.g. PhysX. This may provide a small benefit. A dedicated 10GbE card may help with anything online.

This is a misconception. I'm not planning to buy anything although it would be so cool if I did. But if I bought this I would just mess around with Minecraft raytraced shaders on Java.

This is a troll post right? Actually all your posts here seem to have the common pie in the sky theme that might be better suited to reddit.

An HDD when everyone is moving to M2 (manufacturers) that an HDD would represent a Strongest Gaming PC is ridiculous.
