Welp after 15 years of faithful service after doing a loop flush I accidentally pulled the wires out of the Molex. I even tried it in 12 bare wires. No joy…
May you rest well old faithful…
I’m grabbing a Corsair res/D5 combo just to get something quick hopefully have it back up next weekend

Wow I'm surprised yours lasted so long mine did 5 years before the pump became useless and occasional rebuilds had cracked the BSP screw hole.

Still, new shiny will cheer you up:)

15 years is a pretty good run for that sort of hardware it's done well indeed now just place it in a nice box and give it a decent burial in the backyard say a few nice words and move on to nice new shiny

Ran like a champ since it’s first run on a P4 Northy then Prescott….i just kept updating the block with the t8mes…

Still keeping the case
I probably should have guessed but near snap again, I have the LCS aluminium finished one, though it is not my main rig anymore I absolutely could not let it go fully so.
My nephew is loving it now.

It’s full copper 360 Rad can’t really justify letting it go. It’s always kept everything under It cool. Other mistakes were made..lso I’ve got a 5800X3D on the way right now and a new MoBo MSI MPG Gaming Plus I believe. It’s hard finding a new X570 board here so Amazon to the rescue

That rad is actually kin amazing for its size and age due to being multipass IE about six to 8 through pipe's.
Good luck with your build, and show pictures please:).

And that's why it died. Pumps are not designed to run 24/7 for years on end. You might want to consider changing you computing ethic to include shutting your system down when not in use. Sleep and hibernation do not count..

Sorry but I disagree constantly cycling a water pump is more harmful, and hell will freeze over before I would ever use sleep or hibernate….my PC is also my media server so yeah it’s staying on all the time. I have all power saving opti available in use
Edit: you do realize the origin of water cooling right? aquarium pumps…you NEVER shut those off except to clean th the tank ;)

I've been water cooling since the early 2000's when we had to make our pump setups, rads and blocks from scratch. I have NEVER seen or heard of a pump dying from being power cycled. I have frequently seen them die from being run 24/7.

At least we agree on that point.

If I may be so bold, you should build a media server separate from your main PC. Media servers don't need high end hardware, just room for drives... I can give you some tips to build one very cost effectively if you'd like.

Nah I’m good I’ve been at it long enough too but that pump ran for over a decade trouble free. I have no intention of changing my “style“I’ve used since 2006 when I first started…

I'll vouch for 24/7 pumps being ok, well Laing DDC X2 are anyway.
My Tt pump did 5/6 years, easily long enough a life never mind 15.

@INSTG8R I've had bad luck with my Corsair and here you are with a Tt lasting 15yrs, Im jeally.

Purchased an XD7 in February '22. Come May '22 I had to RMA it as the pump burnt out, received the replacement and that burnt up within a week. Ended up I refurb'd the XD7 myself with an Alphacool branded D5, so far so good.

If you're good at soldering should be able to get the Tt back up and running if it's just the molex on it. If you're really good at repair could pickup a Molex to SATA adapter use that and convert it to SATA power.

I know a *very* common pump that's not only designed to run 24/7 for years on end but decades on end, not only that, it doesn't require a power supply. It isn't normally user serviceable though.
