AMD X570 Chipset and Mobo Cooling Solutions

Okay so I added my PCH to my main monitoring screen max temp is 55C on my X570S which is 7C cooler than my previous X570 averaged with the fan set to its max performance.

Man, those are crazy high temps. I rarely see my chipset temp go over 40, or under 32. But obviously a big difference between x570 and b550..

Well it controls the 2nd 4.0 NVME port I have my game drive on it so it’s pretty much always being used.

Yup I hear you, that chipset is doing a lot more than mine, Gen 3 for me.. but of course that comes at a cost..

That's why I lowered my bios settings to pcie version 1. it lowers the temp some 15C degree.
At the moment the temperatures are looking fine. (temp3)

Makes sense but I’m running a 4.0 NVME in the slot so I’d just be hobbling it. I‘m fine with 55C considering.

Even at pcie-1 settings, the first pci slot which your nvme sits in, will work in pci-4 standart. Because the first pci slot is "always" version 4 and uses CPU's pci lane.

Correct. I have a PCI3 NVME in that slot. That still doesn’t change anything. Slot 2 4.0 is controlled by the chipset or anything to do with chipset temps.

This is the MSI Flagship motherboard "Godlike". While testing it reaches up to 63 degrees Celcius.

@kapone32 Enough is enough I will buy copper shim to put on the bare chipset itself between the heatsink. I can't using it with default settings.

Yep I hear you. I ended up with a 40mm Noctua and the highest it goes now is 70 C. That keeps me happy.
