Leaked photos of a cinder block-sized NVIDIA flagship graphics card cooler appeared online over a week ago, with speculation pointing to it originating from an extremely powerful RTX-40 series GPU—perhaps a theoretical GeForce RTX 4090 Ti or something codenamed TITAN ADA. The pictured prototype outsizes several existing reference designs—its substantial bulk could be enough to tame the fully unlocked potential of Team Green's already large AD102.

Last week's photos have been traced back to the source—as reported by Wccftech, it seems that a seller on the Chinese Taobao Goofish platform is attempting to flog the unit for roughly $122,750 (888,888 RMB). The seller/site member "Hayaka" is apparently open to accepting offers from the highest bidder, but the prospective buyer will not be getting their hands on any working hardware—the listing is for the cooler alone. No GPU or PCB is included according to the provided information, so the winner will be procuring a very expensive (albeit highly unique) mantelpiece.

Lol, I don't think there's a Sultan or Oligarch opulent enough to actually drop 120K on just the cooler.

"A fool & his/her money"

'nuff said :D

Is there anyone with such a disproportion between purchasing power and common sense to consider paying $120k on a cooler? lol

Does the name Titan mean anything to you?

For anyone that it does mean ANYTHING to, they won't pay even remotely close to the ask price.

Hmm 120K and 4 slot cooler with out pcb and gpu. Seems like a good deal to me:kookoo:

But wait, there's more. I got my gigabyte rtx 4090 gaming for msrp with 4 slot cooler and it even came with a pcb and gpu. Sure it's not a rtx 4090 ti, but 1600 usd with cooler and pcb and gpu. Now that's a good deal...

So can I get a bid on it. Let's say starting bid is 130K. Remember pcb and gpu comes with it:rockout:

Marketing stunt old as time. My initial guess is that they would have Titan Ada ready for Nvidia's 30th anniversary a couple of months ago, but they missed the mark. Might still come with Ada refresh, though, they're probably doing these weird listings to keep the interest alive.

Just to clarify, people show case their collections of obscure electronics on Xianyu (website in the screenshot) all the time and tag them with unrealistic price just for a laugh. If you actually want it, you chat with the seller and they will tell you the real price, or maybe tell you it's not for sale. But anyway this 888,888 rmb price tag is clearly just for show and not serious (8 is often considered as a lucky number in China)

Almost spat out my drink, whoever got their mitts on that is clearly trying their luck to cash in.

As a long-time user of the Goofish platform, I can responsibly tell you that this price is not the actual selling price and holds no meaning. Similar prices, such as "66666," are just displayed (or rather, showcased) by individuals who want to demonstrate or flaunt their engineering samples or rare hardware items. Other examples include the P100 dual-core version and the V100 12GB(SXM2).

This 888888 is not the actual price on taobao, just a special price set to prevent you from buying it

You could use it in place of a brick to build a house

Selling it for 888,888 is not a real sale price. It's just a placeholder value or a meme reference I don't understand.
