Well, here's a thought....

Instead of making people jump thru a bunch of silly, time-consuming hoops to get what is probably a ~$15-20 cable, why not just include it as standard equipment in the box :D

Oh no, we can't have that now can we, cause that might cost them a few extra bucks, but probably a lot less than the cost of the administration & management (probably by a 3rd party, but just sayin) of a silly give-away thing, and might even gain them some goodwill from potential customers....

Are MSI's psu's any good ? I'm asking cause I've never used one, and don't know who their OEM parts supplier is...

If you're not a full-on snob they're more than fine. My friend failed to kill one in five years and he runs a system that maxes its wattage out more often than not.

Comes down to pricing and warranty mostly. Currently they ain't worth it for Russian buyers for example because too expensive compared to similar Gigabyte/DeepCool/Chieftec offerings. No idea about markets in different countries.

This should be the standard. If I got a PSU that didn't have all the cables required, it would get shipped right back for a refund and sharply worded review.

Granted this is different for PSU's that were not originally designed for the 12VHP connectors. So it is nice for MSI to hand them out as a pirk.

Uhh...there should be 3 x 8 pins tho.
