I just bought one online 5 mins ago and waiting for it to come in.
I game a little. I'm guessing my 8600gt won't push my games at 1680 x 1050 tho.
My question is, what is my best bet running my games at lower settings and the native resolution or how bad is it to just use 1440 x 900. I had a monitor before and played games like battlefield 2142 at that and noticed no difference it looked great. But, now I see the word native. Does this mean that my monitor will look like it came from a cows anus at other resolutions like everyone claims or will it be alright

1440x900 is not bad at all. I run tf2 at that res, and still looks great. Personally, i like 1440 than 1650 for the fonts are not that small while gaming, therefore making it easy to read.

so it won't get really blurry like people are saying. I'm reading all the threads google had to offer but, they are all old and I know lcd's came a long ways. What type of monitor are you using too.

Nevermind I see it in your specs. How do you like that one? is it decent and did I waste my extra 70 dollars on the one I got? haha. Or should I be glad I got the next series

I was kind of scared to go with acer. I figured samsung would be the brand to get with the reviews. but, The acer was much cheaper and people had good ratings on it. So I got it. Now I have to wait and see

I have an Acer AL2223W 22" and I love it, you will love yours too.

The 8600GT will push some games at 1680x1050, but don't expect Crysis or Oblivion to run at that ;)

1440x900 is a good resolution to have.

The monitor I have now is a 20"crt if I jump the resolution higher than 1024 x 768 it spazzes out so I didn't know how my card performs at higher resolutions. Besides when the games startrendering unplayable on my card I'll upgrade. I just thought I might have to now since people were complaining about native resolutions and anything else being blurry
