you missed the under 400 part, right?
no i didnt, its about wasting $ on sub par components and ending up spending $ for no real improvement from the performance he has right now.
everything will be bottlenecked so its only wasting $ to only get a slight increase in performance.
im saying spend $0 keep what you have till you save $600 then sell your system for $400 and take that $1000 and build a new system from the ground up.
i pizzed away $400 on a system doing just what he is trying to do and after $400 down the drain i couldnt tell the difference in the computer speed. been there done that, sold the asrock motherboard and the q6600 is sitting on my desk waiting for my next build.
