Game of the Year

What do you think is game of the year? I personally think bioshock was shit and something such as call of duty 4 for its gameplay or crysis for its innovation in graphics and coding stufffff.

I personally think that having an overall GOTY is kind of useless as it makes no sense comparing a shooter with an RTS, for instance.

The game I have played the most in the last year is SupCom, but that is mostly because I do not have a whole lot of free time to game and SupCom allows me to play complete battles in my limited time frame.

I vote Witcher for RPG GOTY, but I still haven't had enough time to really get into it.

I say GOTY is the Orange Box.

Armed Assault and Armed Assault 2 this year if it comes out. But it's these to as i like realistic games which are very modable and you can download or make loads of missions for which you can play in MP COOP ( Human v's AI ).

RTS: for 2008, will be SCII lol
RPG: Haven't played any new RPGS.


I gotta give props tho to Orange Box... Portal was a friggin blast.
AND, Civ 4: BTS still has me hooked, as well as City of Heroes. Gah, too many games haha

agreed! It could easily lend itself to a sequel also.
Just as a random Q: How many people who have played the game played the second half on their first run? As in figured out the other half of the game?

Portal was great but couldn't get into it because im a thicky fps shooter. I prefer rts fps and simulation and my fav fps of all time would be goldeneye for the N64, Supreme commander for RTS and for simulation the ace combat series

It's such a tough call between Crysis and Bioshock. IMO, it's Bioshock, no other game did quite what it did.

Definitly portal yeah i no its short but that means it doesnt overstay its welcome.

I dislike bioshock ... I thought it was rather thin and far too easy on easy and too hard on medium even though I like a challenge it didn't live up to the hype the xbox fanboys at school drooled about. One of my favourite games is a 2.5d side scroller super smash bros series.
