I guess the one that k62 has was just a special case. If someone who has a PAL version of one of these cards could post the bios, it would really help a lot in finding how to finish the mod to PAL. Of course, if someone did post the bios, I would only need to do the mod for the other one that a PAL version wasn't posted.

Well, then ceros, i think there is some hardware differences between PAL and NTSC :(
Cause when i tried the NTSC bios my tuner got NOTHING also.
Maybe the difference just is a resistor that needs to be moved or such, because some cars seems to have DIP(dil) switches. Anyway ATI support told me that a Pal bios Wouldnt make My NTSC card work for pal...They thought i got a NTSC card :banghead: ...Couldnt really tell them i had a X800se card that i needed to unlock, could i! :D :D :D

Edit: ceros, the X800 microtuner is a lot more picky with weak tv signals than other tv cars, my tv image was crap untill i amplified the signal

Hmm, maybe it's not possible then. I was hoping that I would be able to help out with it for ceros and a007fan.

any updates on the X800 XL?

Hi ShadowFlare,

I just saw that the local representative of ATI in my country received the X800 XL AIW with the PAL system.
I was wondering whether this would mean that you or someone you know could get their hands on the BIOS of those cards, it would probably resolve my problem.
What do you say?

It might possibly help, but I'm not sure of it. You will just have to wait until someone can be found who has one.

Hi people,

i am another person, trying to get my ntsc card to tune pal signals.

I am attaching my bios in a .rar file i renamed to .zip. Could someone please change the ntsc to pal setting and upload it?

Also i would like to ask if anyone changed the saw filter and has seen their card work.

Thanks in advance,
decoder

forum, changed the filters and the
tuner now works fine.

Thanks for the help and the nice site.
