I'm looking for something to cool the DFI CFX3200 RD580 chipset, the stock cooler is too loud and distracting. Is there anything available or will I have to rig something up?

Holy hell that thing is massive an expensive. Plus I really doubt it'll fit behind my 2nd video card.

It should, look at it from this angle:

But yes, it's filthy expensive, but facilitates the use of a fan.

edit. oh wait that's a CFX3200 and not ICFX3200 you have, sorry for the confusion. I

Thanks, that's a really good price too. How well does it work? Is it quieter? Is it cooler?

Just pull out the old one, install the new one, and plug in the fan in the same place the old one was plugged in to. It's cooler and a LOT more quiet. It also has 2 LEDs (red and blue).

Look at the second link I posted before. There's a video there that shows you how to remove the stock one and install the new one.

Here's mine:

That wasn't an issue for my X1900XT. Fits just fine. :)

I'm sold, this stock cooler is annoying when it ramps up, which is pretty often. Although it is pretty cool how it sounds like an air raid siren right before POSTing. :p

+1 on this ..My SLI-DR also has run on of these for a long time. Works great. I do believe after I lapped it, there was a 10*C drop from the stock alu. DFI cooler.

Also came highly recommended in the old DFI forums as the one to have!

Problem with that is that the cooler is right behind one of my video cards, so there's barely any room.

bah they always are right behind the VGA. its a stupid spot IMO they could just put in the bottom left corner and you could use anything to cool them...

But then that would just add to the complexity of everything. It's in the perfect spot from an electrical standpoint, it's close to the CPU and expansion slots.
