@harlock.

Your configuration in the wrong place. Dont put it in the signature! Put it in the system profile. Go to your CP and you'll see where. Then you'll get a system specs drop down box. Its much tidier and info much easier to read.

That's a GREAT AGP system you've got. IMPRESSIVE! Please go http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=58722 and post some benchmarks. Thanks.

P.S. Does the conroe865pe allow you to change the multiplier in the BIOS? Or do you need a software tool to get to 3.2Ghz? What BIOS are you running? There is a BIOS hack for the Conroe865PE that will give you a memory divider of 1:1 or 5:4 instead of 3:2. With your DDR600, you can take it! Wow.

Does the conroe865pe allow you to change the multiplier in the BIOS? Or do you need a software tool to get to 3.2Ghz?

Yes, change from x10 to x12 :D

What BIOS are you running?

Latest Version 1.70 :)

I know about these BIOSs their problem is that they not support dual channel so they don't work on my configuration, I've already tried (and cried) they with no positive results :banghead: :(

I've got a VERY BIG TIP for ya Harlock. Kill those 200+80+60 internals and replace with a Samsung F1 750 or 1000GB. They are very very very fast. Will make a big difference on your system.

is it better than Raptor?

My main problem is to raise up FSB couse Divider it's locked to 3:2 couse I've 266Mhz so my DDR is less than 200Mhz :banghead:

Now I use 2-3-3-5

Yes but I cannot set FSB to 300Mhz couse windows doesn't boot, I can set to 266Mhz with no error, now I'm performing some test on 280Mhz with no positive results

have you tried 2/2/2/5?

Just set and works great :toast:

have you locked your PCI/AGP bus? have you tried increasing the CPU and NB volts?

are you manually OC'ing or using AUTO OC?

Locked in which way?

have you tried increasing the CPU and NB volts?

What do you mean with increasing CPU? What is NB Volts?

are you manually OC'ing or using AUTO OC?

Manually by BIOS

locked as in 66mhz/33mhz (lock the freq so it does not scale with FSB and cause instabillity)

CPU volts as in Vcore

NB volts may also be reffered to as "AGP volts", increasing the value aids in stabillity

which GFX drivers are you using?

There is no this settings in BIOS

There are 3 settings about CPU voltage, AGP, and VTT, that can be AUTO, HIGH and LOW
I set all to HIGH voltage

which GFX drivers are you using?

Xtreme 8.4 32bit AGP now, but I 've tried Catalyst since 7.8

I have the Sapphire card as well. The problem is the drivers. After removing every piece of ATI software I could find on my computer I installed the drivers that came on the disc (8.1). Things seemed better so I went and installed the 8.4 hotfix drivers again and things are much better. no black spots, long lag periods or incorrect colors on webpages. There is still some chop but it's better than before. I hope the next set of drivers can improve this plus the earlier drivers seemed to have better performance too.

CCC is the only way I can monitor temps so if anybody knows a utility that will display temps like ATI tool normally does or has fan control plz let me know. I have no luck with ATI tool .27B4 or ATI tray tools.

Thanks.

Mmmhhhh, got the Sapphire too, but she works fine with ATT and Cat 8.3 (Hotfix). Do you got the latest ATT-Beta? Should be 1.4.7.1176

8.3 never worked for me just got a no supported card found message. Using the 8.4 hotfix drivers now and things seem fine as long as I don't use a third party OC utility.

Got tired of not being to adjust fan speeds so I modded my BIOS to 100% above 50 degrees. Not noisy at all and a little cooler with a modest OC.

Raised my volts to 1.3 and 3Dclocks to 720/950 since I know those are stable. When I find a utility that will overclock my card higher than CCC I will do some testing I'll push it further. No real need now and I'm tired of the BSOD telling be about driver stuck in infinite loop, ATI2DVAG, BLAH BLAH BLAH....:banghead:

Even though my system probably wont notice any difference in any further overclocking, I would still like to know how far it will go:D

I must be really bloody luck with my card check out my clocks...

... I've got that with just using CCC.

All I need to do now is buy a new radiator (can't use my 120MM) and to get a compatible waterblock. I had being delayed. All I want to do is to see how far I can get my CPU, GPU and RAM in my 'new' motherboard. I'll be so happy if I can get 3GHz or over on my CPU, the same (not sure I can go any higher) on my GPU and well, as far as my RAM will allow.

I have no issues with CCC, I can go all the way to the max the slider will give (720/950) stable. The problem is when I try to OC with third party software IE ATI Tool, ATI tray tools etc. Then I get the all to familiar BSOD.

I just figured since i was going to flash the card for the fan speeds why not make the 3D clocks permanent too. A little more voltage never hurts either :D

when I find a third party OC tool that works then I'll see about taking it further and see what it's capable of doing.

BTW my max temps seem to be about 67-68C under load...not to bad for stock cooling I think. May slap on some AC MX-2 and see what that does for it.

@ innocentcriminal : nice scores! :rockout: what are you planning for L/C?

@ 65tweet : why dont you try to use the bios editor and edit your bios with some OC clocks if you want higher?

im using the drivers that came from the disk (8.452) no problems; yet.

im having trouble downloading 3dmark for some reason :banghead: i'd like to do some benchies  ive got the CPU @ 3.6 prime stable right now (before could only manage 3.45) so id like to see how she goes :)

@65tweet: I´ve got the same message "no supported card..." if i try to install the driver automatically.

So i install the driver the following way:

- Extract the driver to his folder C:\ATI\8-3_xp32_8-471-57941 for example (just start the automatically installation)

- If the extraction is complete, dont`t use the following automatically installation (terminate it).

- Install the driver via the device manager

Conclusion: Worked for me! So just try it

karatekatadvd: already tried it. comp said...:nutkick:
For some reason the drivers just want to be difficult with me. If I pick up another harddrive maybe I'll try a fresh XP or vista install. Things are going pretty well for me now though as long as I don't mess with third party utilities.

intel igent: I'll mod when I know just how high my card will go. 'till then it's not worth risking flashing too high and ending up with a bunch of issues for just a little gain.
