I will be building my new PC the end of this month or the very begging of next month. it will be made up of an Asus P5Q Pro, HD4850, and an e8400. I am looking to get 2 gigs of ram and i want to be able to OC my e8400 to the max on air. I am currently looking at these 2 kits of ram:

Crucial Balistix Tracers 1066mhz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148070

and

OCZ Flex XLC 1200mhz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227230

Any suggestions on what to get? The ASUS P5Q Pro natively supports 1200mhz ram so a 1200mhz kit would be nice but not necssasary if there are better kits for close to the same price. I do not want to spend more than $100 on ram, im willing to go a few bucks over, but not too far.

I have Crucial PC8500 RAM and I love it.

My RAM is at 4-4-4-3 at 1Ghz.

Go for Crucial, you can overclock them pretty high or you can underclock them and get really low timings ( much better! ).

Tracers over Flex? :wtf: they don't make double sided ballistix of any kind anymore.

Flex can do 1300 maybe even higher. find me a kit that can do that under $100 with a premium heat spreader with the option of liquid cooling.

ill go for the flex then. the PC 9200 kit is 50mhz lower than the 9600 kit. is it worth spending the extra 25 bucks to get the 9600 kit? would the 9600 kit be able to OC much more than the 9200 kit? or would it just be a higher OC of 50mhz?

They are most likely the same RAM, but one use's a different SPD setting. Just like my Ballistx have the 1000MHz SPD data:laugh:. If you can get double-sided Ballistx, they will clock real high, or use real low latency's, you would have to buy used thou:(
