AMD cooling

Hey i have a kinda old but nasty AMD Duron. I O.C'd it and she warms up quite a bit. I threw a fan i got from a ghetto 36 LAN switch, it works but i want it cooler. I still wanna stay with only air cooling. Need sugestions on what Heatsink+Fan i should use to quite it down and cool it down.

Try to find something Zalman, thermaltake, or Arctic Cooling and youll be ok.

Yes, it is a very beautiful, and quiet heatsink.

Also a very decent performer(especially for socket A).

Yep used to have one and with a modded dual fan combo it's wicked I mounted a side fan to blow thru fins to case extractor fan whilst stock fan was sucking, it worked a treat and with the second fan dropped a further 4C idle and 7C at load.

But its a duron and wasting a lot of money on a cooler would be silly. I like my idea and bigboi86 also because you can use his for newer stuff too (that way you are not wasting money on the duron)

Good choice, its cheap and looks cool and there apparantly aren't any bad reviews about it. Only thing I can think of is size but that usually isn't a problem for most.

Yea the only thing i worry about it i have a heatsink+fan on my northbridege, its from an old AMD K-6. It fits fine now but i hope it will fit with that heatsink. If it doesnt ill just get a smaller heatsink for my northbridge
