Antec is planning to take enthusiast PC chassis to the next level with the Skeleton Chassis. It breaks the mould with a design case-modders and overclockers would build themselves. It is an open-ended design suited for flat-bed setups ideal for benchmark enthusiasts and reviewers. The design is basically two stages stacked. The top stage holds the motherboard and the lower stage holds hard drives, PSU and related peripherals and wiring. The stages slide out, in case the user decides to use extreme cooling such as LN2 pots, etc. Otherwise, the arches above the top stage hold a powerful 250 mm fan to keep the entire stage cool.

Specifications:
  • 4 Drive Bays (External: 2 x 5.25in) (Internal: 2 x 3.5in)
  • Optional: 4 x 3.5in; side panel mounted drive trays
  • Layered tray design for greater system integration flexibility
  • Seven Expansion Slots including room for 11in video cards
  • cooling System: one top 250mm TriCool 3-speed multi color customisable LED Fan; one front 92mm HD cooling fan
  • Motherboard: Standard ATX
  • 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x FireWire (IEEE1394), 1 x eSATA, Audio (AC97' and HDA compatible) In and Out
  • 0.8mm cold rolled steel

how the hell are you gonna work with it? this is stupid, way to many thing obstructing access to the mobo.. might as well have a normal cabi and take of the side everytime you need to fiddle..

look at the last picture. mobo tray slides out leaving you plenty of room to work on it.

This thing looks awesome, I wonder how hard it will be to mount a 120x240 radiator to it.

I wouldnt mind one of these 'cases' /rigs replacing my case - Id use it as a case & just toss a table cloth over it to keep the dust bunnies away when its powerd down. - Imagine how silent it would be

Very quiet, I can't wait to get one. I have a tru and something tells me they wouldn't screw them selves over by making it to tiny to fit one in there.

look at the third shot above.... the Xig is way taller than my GPU. the hold down brace for the GPU seems to be the height of the fan on top!

#10, I did look at the last picture, that's why i'm saying you might as well take the side of your cabi everytime.. imagine all the cables going in every direction, and then having to slide out that tray.

this is a real testbench! http://www.nokytech.net/banchetto_101_de_microcool_la_-7212-a.html

Only cables that would cause issue is the ones to the fan/power buttons up top. with the tray comes the PSU, HDD, and DVD, so the cables would still be in the same place!

How much does it cost to buy one of those made of acrylic+aluminum (made by custom PC shops)?
