AMD Confirms 2nd Generation Ryzen Processors to Debut in Q1-2018

If GloFo and Samsung didn't have 14nm nodes it would be called 16nm (It was renamed to 12nm shortly before launch due market situation, similar to how GloFos upcoming "12nm" was supposed to be called 14nm but because TSMC called their 16nm refresh 12nm, GloFo calls their 14nm refresh 12nm too)

AMD Confirms 2nd Generation Ryzen Processors to Debut in Q1-2018

Seriously, TPU news quality is going down in a spiral and no-one is doing anything about it? Even if the image isn't photochopped, it's from before Raven Ridge launch (note the launched vs launches). There has been no recent AMD even where they would have confirmed or said anything about them...

AMD Confirms Raven Ridge APUs Boast of Mobile XFR Technology

AMD confirmed this feature when they launched Raven Ridge. The new piece was that HP Envy x360 has mXFR enabled, but TPU somehow missed the whole point

AMD Confirms Raven Ridge APUs Boast of Mobile XFR Technology

Erm, AMD confirmed that there's mobileXFR in Raven Ridge's when they launched them. What was new is that HP Envy uses a Raven Ridge with mXFR enabled, not that RR can have it.

Vega 8 Mobile GPU Seemingly Ditches HBM2 Memory, Makes Use of System DDR4 Pool

It would require completely new chip layout from the scratch, that's a multimillion project and with AMDs limited R&D budget you need to take your picks on what you want. For what it's worth, they apparently are bringing a "real HPC APU" which will just go leaps and bounds beyond anything out...

Vega 8 Mobile GPU Seemingly Ditches HBM2 Memory, Makes Use of System DDR4 Pool

Of course designing each GPU adds costs, point was that AMD didn't design "Vega HBM only" or "This shows Vega can use other than HBM" like was claimed here late edit: fixed terrible typos

Vega 8 Mobile GPU Seemingly Ditches HBM2 Memory, Makes Use of System DDR4 Pool

Sigh, the "GPU" portion doesn't really care if they stick a HBCC HBM memory controller or some other memory controller in there. What you're calling "Vega" has several separate IP blocks which can be switched around with different blocks, you could replace the GPU portion with different GPU IP...

Vega 8 Mobile GPU Seemingly Ditches HBM2 Memory, Makes Use of System DDR4 Pool

No it's not and no they didn't. AMD GPU architectures are modular and you can pretty much mix'n'match any IP blocks. In case of APUs, they of course use the shared DDR4 memory controller, in case of Vega 10 they use HBCC HBM2 memory controller, in case of Polaris 10 they use GDDR5 memory...

AMD Phasing Out CrossFire Brand With DX 12 Adoption, Favors mGPU

AMD didn't announce anything, PCWorld noticed that latest drivers have multiGPU, not CrossFire, asked about it from AMD and made a story. AMD would have given exact same answer if someone had asked it last december when it was actually new thing.

AMD Phasing Out CrossFire Brand With DX 12 Adoption, Favors mGPU

WTH is up with sites picking this up now? It's been MultiGPU since last year. Radeon Software 16.11.x were the last to talk about CrossFire, 16.12.x and later talk about MultiGPU.

Do Inflated AMD Radeon GPU Prices Have an Official Sanction?

Actually it doesn't say they're "AMD sanctioned" - the fact of the matter is that AMD has literally no way to control the prices.

Do Inflated AMD Radeon GPU Prices Have an Official Sanction?

Seriously what the f is up with TPU news? Do you do any actual research on the matters? There is literally nothing AMD can do about the prices, after AIB buys the chips or even full cards from AMD, it's out of their hands - they can set MSRPs, but no-one has to follow them, and there's nothing...

Steam Survey Update: It's All About Quad-cores, NVIDIA and Windows 10

Yes, but it's supposed to ask for your permission for sending the information to Valve each time. I know for a fact that I've switched hardware several times and haven't had it pop up on me related to that, last time it popped up on my account was on my laptop, before that I went through 2 or 3...

Steam Survey Update: It's All About Quad-cores, NVIDIA and Windows 10

Still waiting for Valve to come clean on their "Software & Hardware Survey" They've never explained exact methods they use to get their results - is it random pickings who gets to survey each month? It can't be everyone, since the survey doesn't pop up on hardware changes. What about users who...

NVIDIA Adds DirectX 12 Support to GeForce "Fermi" Architecture

See above. D3D12 has 4 feature levels, 11_0, 11_1, 12_0 and 12_1. Fermi, Kepler and Maxwell gen 1 are 11_0 GCN1 and Haswell/Broadwell are 11_1 GCN2-4 are 12_0 GCN5, Maxwell gen 2, Pascal and Skylake/Kaby Lake are 12_1 In addition to the feature level support, they can support variety of...

NVIDIA Adds DirectX 12 Support to GeForce "Fermi" Architecture

It's not 12_0 capable, it's 11_0 capable. The only thing that changed really is the fact that now it can run the API itself. (for reference, even Kepler and Maxwell gen 1. are 11_0, not even 11_1 like GCN1 & Haswell/Broadwell, let alone 12_0 like GCN2-4 or 12_1 like GCN5 and Maxwell gen 2. &...

AMD Reveals EPYC Datacenter Processor Pricing

Those 2P-prices are actually per 2 processors, not per processor. http://www.amd.com/en-us/press-releases/Pages/amd-epyc-datacenter-2017jun20.aspx states single Epyc 7601 costs $2100

    Sniper Elite 4: Performance Analysis

Nope. AMD's plan, if it works, is to get only the data you need on the video card, rather than all the data the game wants to allocate (there can gigabytes of difference on allocated mem and actually used mem). HBM2's role in this scenario is to hold the data that's actually being accessed, the...

Steam and Linux on the PS4 - AMD's "Bonaire" GPU Register Reference Found

The iGPU in PS4's APU is actually closer to Bonaire than Pitcairn, you people focus too much on calling shots based on CU counts.
