HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

Try this out: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158907 That's the thing you need to use to get different cards working. Off the top of my head, though, I don't think 200 and 400/500 work together, but you can always try it out.

    SLI with different cards

You could also try going into the options and unchecking "Automatic run HyperSLI control panel when Windows starts". I don't know what it does, but you could always try it and see what happens.

    SLI with different cards

I just looked up your board (assuming ASRock Z77 Pro3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard), and the Newegg page does not list any native SLI support. You'll probably need HyperSLI still. I am sorry for telling you something incorrect.

    SLI with different cards

I think he has a Z77 board. It should work fine. EDIT: It is very possible that it will NOT work fine.

    SLI with different cards

No. DifferentSLI does not require HyperSLI to work.

You could still be right about it being something that only shows up in windowed SLI mode. I only wanted to confirm that windowed SLI is possible.

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

SLI has worked in windowed mode for years. I'm fairly certain that windowed SLI has been a thing since 2007-2009.

Do you have an SLI bridge?

    SLI with different cards

I'm not surprised HyperSLI didn't work on its own. The laptop already has an SLI-certified motherboard. EDIT: The "problem" is not the laptop being different. While the laptop situation is a different situation than normal, the "problem" was caused because of incorrect and incomplete...

    SLI with different cards

HyperSLI is for enabling SLI on motherboards that are not officially Nvidia SLI certified, but otherwise have the capability. SLI with different cards (this thread) is for enabling SLI in situations where there are different graphics cards, and SLI would not normally be possible with the...

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

    1. Go into your Nvidia Control Panel and disable SLI. 2. Reboot into your normal Windows installation. a. Press WindowsKey and R. This should open the Run menu. b. Type msconfig and press OK. c. Click on the "Boot" tab. d. You should see "Windows # (*:\Windows)" and "Windows # x##...

Done. I wasn't sure how compressed you wanted it, so I chose "Best". EDIT: Not done. I need to figure out a way to send it differently. EDIT2: Okay, I think it worked this time. I had to rename the .exe part to .pants so Gmail wouldn't yell at me.

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

I just tried it, and it worked fine for me. http://anatolymik.itzod.ru/HyperSLI/HyperSLI_0.9.exe I'm not saying that there isn't a problem, just that it doesn't seem to be affecting everyone. That fact may make the problem easier to diagnose.

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

Okay. I'd recommend 301.42. It's a little older, I'm pretty sure it works fairly well with HyperSLI, and you can mess around with the modded drivers in this thread: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158907 Seeing as all 3 cards you have are the same, it shouldn't be a...

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

I did a Google search. Let me get this straight. Your board supports 3 way Crossfire, but only 2 way SLI? If so, that's incredibly misleading. What version drivers are you using? Have you tried using an older version that's already more or less tested and proven to work? If not, I recommend...

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

If you scroll up 5, maybe 10 posts, the author just said that he will work on it when he has the time. He provided no dates, nor are there any dates. That's the latest. There's nothing stopping you from trying the latest drivers with HyperSLI 0.9. 1. I don't know, but now that you've...

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

My vote is still some sort of virtualization software, in which case reinstalling the drivers, or installing a different driver version, will do nothing. Reinstalling HyperSLI probably won't do anything, either. I would leave VTx disabled in my motherboard BIOS until I could figure out what's...

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

Just because it failed to load doesn't mean it caused the BSOD. Plus, I as well have never had that problem with Avira. On the off-chance it is Avira, or are looking for alternatives anyway, you can use Microsoft Security Essentials.

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

Yes to the software issues. Disabling Vt x is a tip off to that. Vt x, or VTx, or however your BIOS labels it, enables some form of virtualization. Other people will be able to tell you exactly what it enables and how. HyperSLI doesn't play well with other programs trying to use virtualization...

    SLI with different cards

I don't fully understand the questions you're asking, but I'll do my best. Also, I'm not very experienced at all, so what I say may be completely wrong. Take this with a grain of salt. The only way you'll know for sure if something works is if you try it yourself. So, to start: This thread...

Yes. I use Nvidia Inspector just fine.
  22. Y

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

Maybe, but don't expect it anytime soon. If I remember correctly, anatolymik doesn't have much time to work on it. I'd recommend getting used to using windowed mode indefinitely, and maybe looking into a program that removes windowed mode borders. I think AWM (Actual Window Manager?) does...

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

I was having problems with my computer freezing as well. I'm glad someone else has had that problem (well not glad, but now I at least can rollback drivers).

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

You're confusing things I said with things I did not say. I will try to clarify as best as I can. Without HyperSLI, you will NOT have the option in the NCP to enable SLI. With HyperSLI, you WILL have the option in the NCP to enable SLI, but it will not enable it for you. You should have the...

HyperSLI (Enabling SLI on non-sli motherboards)

I'm sorry. I am confused. Did you ever set the option to enable SLI in the NCP yourself? HyperSLI does not do it for you, it only enables the option to do so, and gets around the Nvidia protection.
