Guess I can explain what I meant. So here the sensors output from my Ryzen system: There are 2 devices that it's reading info from. The amdgpu is my RX460 and the nct6779 is the SuperIO chip. The SuperIO chip is showing 2 temp sensors relating to the CPU: CPUTIN and SMBUSMASTER 0. That's...

There are currently no drivers on Linux that can poll Ryzen temperature or power sensors. The best you can do is try to poll the sensors on the SuperIO.

New WCG project- Microbiome Immunity Project

Do note that RAM requirements are a bit on the high side for MIP WU's and according to the System Requirements page on WCG, the WU download size is quite large: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq

Can't OC Ryzen 1600 at all

How are you overclocking? My AsRock AB350 Pro4 can't boot if I change the cpu voltage or clock setting in the OC Tweaker tab, but works if I set custom PStates instead.

AMD Radeon RX 560 vs. GTX 1050

The page title still seems to say "Introduction". The dropdown at the bottom does show "Sponsored content by AMD" though. Also while there is the "Advertorial by AMD" message at the top, the fact that it's up in the right corner actually made me miss it entirely, so I didn't see anything about...

Out left is Shit. In the stack is from bottom to top: Server, CEP2, Mikkel, Little Server, Shoe and No Power. And the black tower on the right is Foldy. Running WCG is Shit with a N3150, CEP2 with a FX-8320E, Little server with a G3258, Shoe with an Athlon 5350 and No Power with a J3455. Foldy...

    WCG-TPU Cruncher's Hardware/Tech Support Discussion Thread

Looked on the net and saw 2 suggestions for problems with running more than 32 threads. Make sure you are running 64-bit client. And add this to the cc_config.xml file: <ncpus>x</ncpus> Where x is number of threads. If you don't have a cc_config.xml, then create it in the BOINC data directory...

    WCG-TPU Cruncher's Hardware/Tech Support Discussion Thread

If you really want to get sensors, you could try and check what SuperIO chip the board has and force load the monitor driver for it. Will probably require a bit of terminal usage.

A bit of a different datapoint. An unlocked RX460, though no aux power, so it's hitting power limit. The other one's a R9 280X.

I've reconfigured my folding setup after getting tired of the noise Foldy was making with a 7950 and a 280X. Currently running the 280X and a RX 460. Have another RX 460 which I plan to use to test folding under Linux. Also might be getting back my old Windows box, so that can run the 7950.

    Show off your WCG farm

Been silent here for a while. But now I can show the long road to my CEP2 cruncher's completion. It all started nice and cheap based around a FX-8320E. Upgraded with a NH-L9x65 cooler.(Which in hindsight was a quite optimistic choice.) It did actually hold up at stock, but overclocking was...
