You could always get them off ebay if you're unable to do so locally over there

Looks cool. The graphics card is a bit too slant to my liking though - wouldn't it be a good idea if you hack some PCI slots off an old case and mount it for support? Also, hows the vibration? Bare fans on glass can't be too good? Do they move around?

Did you have a look at the corsair I linked to earlier? Seems to have pretty decent reviews and also includes a mic

Like I said, if you're doing it solely for 'less maintenance' in terms of dust, you're pretty much going to be in the same boat as you are right now with your current PC. However, keep in mind that if you're thinking of a custom water loop, you're going to have to think of more stuff like...

I want new PC for 1/7/2014 so it will last longer :D

yep i did have a look at the specs and as others have said, looks good to go :) If you are thinking of watercooling solely to avoid dust, Im afraid it wouldnt make much of a difference as you will still have dust build up around the radiator, unless you do simple cleanups periodically

+1 for the monitors - any of them should be just fine apart from that as a newb to this conversation I dont mean to be judgy, but shouldn't you list our your priorities? You talk about a rig, watercooling, LED fans etc. I'd first look at allocating a reasonable budget for your main rig, and...

Maximus VI Gene with internal Wifi card

awesome - thanks for that mate - i'll pick one up from Centrecom :) in my case, Im not too far away from the router (around 20m) and there's only 2 plasterboard walls in between so I guess it should not cause much interference with the signal

Maximus VI Gene with internal Wifi card

Maximus VI Gene with internal Wifi card

I dont really get what you mean here - do you have any examples of usb sticks that I should look out for? links from officeworks or PCCG if possible?

Maximus VI Gene with internal Wifi card

thanks for your replies - the half-height card being retained in the adapter was another of my concerns as the asus videos always shows a full-height one being attached to the retention brackets of the riser card. considering all of these, I think the best solution would be to plug in a usb...

Maximus VI Gene with internal Wifi card

hi guys,, im looking at getting the Asus maximus vi Gene for a new build, and was wondering about the possibility of hooking up a mPCIe wireless card that I have from an old laptop to the mPCIe riser card thingy that the board comes with. Initial googling says that it will work but just want to...

    New Build - Sanity Check

True that mate - so for now, I've placed that on the 'to-get' list. Hopefully a couple of reputable reviews would pop-up by the time the custom R290s how up

    New Build - Sanity Check

My thoughts exactly. Based on the reviews of the previous version, the GX800 seems to tick all boxes. My only hope is that the v3 is only better and not worse than the v2, and if so, I think I'd move this to the top of my list. the official web page for it is...

    New Build - Sanity Check

Another one that I've just noticed is the Cougar GX800 V3 (Gold at $149 at http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_535&products_id=26073). Strangely enough, I'm not able to find any reviews for this - not too sure if its due to it being relatively new

    New Build - Sanity Check

The RM850 costs $225 over here which is quite a bit over budget and the only model of In Win is the 700W which I linked to previously. I did a bit of extensive research today and was able to look up a few by Zalman (which I read is quite good - please confirm this), by looking away from PCCG...

    New Build - Sanity Check

thats guite interesting - I've never really given Antec much thought due to their 'crappy' cases - I've always overlooked Antec for CM or Corsair in quite everything from cases to PSUs. Now that you've mentioned it, I've brought 2 of their PSUs into this comparison - please see below. true...

    New Build - Sanity Check

thanks for all your help in picking the PSU guys - I think I'll go for the RM550 for this one and think of upgrading the PSU if I decided to CF another R290 later on. Apart from the PSU, any other comments on the rest of the components?
