AMD Radeon Graphics Cards Trump NVIDIA Alternatives in VRMark Cyan Room

blower card is about 30$ more, and when i looked a 3rd party cooler like ACX, gigabyte WF style and MSI one were 50$ more then a vega 64 with a water rad so 80-100$ is bit exaggerated. I bet most VR games would way better then on vega64. These are synthetic benchmarks and those vs real word...

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

i had it listed in system specs so would been quick to check but its X-FI. Bought my board that had pci slots so could keep using it for little longer, even debating if would get next one with it just to get a few more years outta it.

AMD Radeon Graphics Cards Trump NVIDIA Alternatives in VRMark Cyan Room

This isn't old days where who gets the highest fps win's. It comes down to which provides smooth more consistent experience. Doesn't matter if reported fps is higher as their could be under lying issues of frame times that negate it.

Upgrading my i7 6700 but to what???

The site does say ATX power supply so that means should have no problem replacing that they used to do wonky things with pin out on purpose to prevent you doing things like replacing it but that stopped a while ago. If you pick up say a 5-600 watt psu you could put mid range gpu in there to high...

How's your Windows 10 Fall Creator Update experience so far?

I installed it on both my laptops, no problems with them. Put the update on my desktop and had issues with directories on my some of drives being un accessible with "Cannot access a folder due to I/O device error". Could access other folders on the drive but some would get a few couldn't. Some...

EA Forces Shut-Down of Fan-Run Servers for no Longer Supported Battlefield Games

In a nutshell they were distributing the game without permission with a custom launcher. So asking them to stop pretty much giving out pirate copies of the game is what they did. They could instead just provide the launcher and the files needed with launcher not the full game would probably...

    Forza 7 Performance of Vega64 beats 1080Ti?

PCper did a look at vega vs 1060/1080/1080ti and their results don't match with these. Only results vega win's is in 64/56 cards is at 4k, rest of them go nvidia's way. though vega56/gtx1070 at 1440p is a dead heat...

Taking Hold of Your Signal - Critical Flaw Discovered in WPA2 Wi-Fi Security

Depends on the VPN provider you get a decent one they will be just as fast as if you are not using it.

Taking Hold of Your Signal - Critical Flaw Discovered in WPA2 Wi-Fi Security

With just what was said in the video, it seems like could be pretty simple. When you connect to a wifi network on a certain channel, the script sends forged packets to get you to go to a wifi on a diff channel then the legit network is connecting to on. I would guess least from what little was...

    New Monitor for GTX 970

I wouldn't say get a 1440p to use with a gtx970 less he has plans to upgrade that in near future. I have a gtx1080 and at times it struggles to top 100fps in games on it. Even for 2 weeks i had to use my gtx980 due to 1 case of 1080 died and was in RMA, other was 1 or so month back when 1080's...

    GSYNC Question

V-sync on or off has no impact since only prevents fps over monitors refresh rate. So disabling or enabling it doesn't effect it. Thing is when you have a slow frame depends on how slow it is even g-sync can't prevent the stutter as there is no new frame to update. High spike in frame times you...

    New Monitor for GTX 970

You will see improvements in smoothness, I wouldn't use PUBG as your basis for FPS as that game is terribly optimized, even gtx1080ti's can't do 144fps consistently on it. I have gtx1080 + 1440p 165hz monitor and topping 100fps is hit and miss.

Marseille Commercializes the mCable Gaming Edition: HDMI-embedded Anti-Aliasing

I would consider it if the price was decent but i won't pay that much for it, even more not likely since i use a VRR monitor and can't do 1440p over hdmi.

Which graphics card(s?) for 6 x high res monitors, not gaming

Issue with 560's least least it seems 1xdvi, 1xdp,1xhdmi pretty sure the HDMI lock to either 1080p or 4k rez a not letting you use 1440p rez. So would end up needing to go with 570's or i know he said no wasn't gaming but gtx1060's are a little cheaper and more powerful.

Which graphics card(s?) for 6 x high res monitors, not gaming

I didn't say it clearly but would need 2 of them to power 6 display's. Not really any cards made now days that can do over 4 displays less you get in to higher pro end lines which get expensive. Less you go with old AMD cards that are pushing 5 years old now.

Which graphics card(s?) for 6 x high res monitors, not gaming

gtx1060's have 3 DP's on each card which 2 of them don't even need to setup SLI would handle the 6 you want plus good low power draw. Since 0 gaming, you can go with the 3gb model which keep price around around 450$. if find them at msrp. Yes there are some older amd cards that can do 6 off one...

Just dropped DirecTV, Now Using 4G hotspot for TV /internet

If you do some research you can find routers that can use a hotspot, my router even being bit old supports hooking up one those LTE modem's via USB ports. you can get good 720p for around 5Mbps. and even little lower then that 1080p a few Mbps higher.

    Forza Motorsport 7 PC demo

You say it makes no sense but reality is licensing of cars and such isn't cheap. Who knows what they asked for or what not and couldn't come to a deal. Doesn't mean they won't add them later on.

Just dropped DirecTV, Now Using 4G hotspot for TV /internet

Um its not just a Sprint move. AT&T does it, Verizon also does it. If you read the fine print on any one of them for their "unlimited" plan they will all say after certain amount they "may" slow your speeds. If you are using internet streaming for tv, you gonna want least good 250-300gb a...

What if i set gpu fan at 100% and run all time time, would it die?

Nvidia cards can do 90c and even 95c but that is starts hitting the limit before chip can start to cause damage, same for AMD. AMD may of set that as a limit on their chips but there is almost 0 headroom paste that. Reason Nvidia cuts there's off starting at 80c but they can sometimes go over...

    RX Vega Achieves 43 MH/s @ 130 W in Ethereum Mining

Am I only one that question's the only 130watt draw? Seems bit off, Would like to see testing using proper meters to see if that is what the card is really using. Software isn't always right on draw.
