Epic Games Supports Blender Foundation with $1.2 million Epic MegaGrant

TAKE THAT, you launcher whiners :p (I just don't really need/use most of the features steam offers so I guess I'm biased) they are doing good things like this! Anyway, I'm cherring up a lot more on the Blender side right now ...

AMD Unleashes Ultimate PC Gaming Platform with Worldwide Availability of AMD Radeon RX 5700 Series Graphics Cards and AMD Ryzen 3000 Series Desktop

Except that 8GB GDDR is something I would have bought 5 years ago Minimum 16GB or nothing.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Beats Intel Core i9-9900KF at PassMark - CPU Mark Single-Thread

Is this like AMD Athlon 64 all over again ... looks like it. Still, it's bitter sweet because there's a way to go and it should have been sooner, generally speaking for the industry.

AMD to Slash Radeon RX 5700 "Navi" Series Prices Ahead of Launch: $399 & $349

I really don't like HW boundles, they interfere with the whole point of the freedom and modular ecosystem of the PC platform.

Major American OEMs to Move Some Manufacturing Out of China

Great, too much electronic stuff is made in Red China, time to break this reliance on it, this is going to hopefully help Europe more with more variety of products in local supplies rather than everything a bit special only on aliexpres. I don't care about short term price increases. The closer...

Intel adds Integer Scaling support to their Graphics lineup

Good, I do dolphin-emu a lot and can relate, but I don't have an iGPU on CPU.

MSI X570 Motherboards Start Upward of 200€

So I need to pay +500$ for a bunch of power/reset buttons and a digital number display, the industry has lost it's mind. The problem is that there's a gap of offering, huge one, so many things on the premium boards I don't need, and so many things on the lower end that's missing. I want all...

Cyberpunk 2077 Confirmed to Have Raytracing Support on PC

Oh, you wouldn't offend me. Still, I honestly don't know the context you meant, there's equal possibility, you could mean it's wrong as in the game's depiction, or wrong as in doing that in real life, or wrong as the prediction for 2077 being wrong, ... many contexts. It's too vague, so I think...

Cyberpunk 2077 Confirmed to Have Raytracing Support on PC

The name of the drink is interesting, Chromanticore is a play on Chromosomes. Is it really that much different from what everyone's used to in GTA? How do you mean wrong? If it's predicting the future, then it is showing what it may potentially be like. Speaking about the future, aren't...

ASUS ROG Announces First Monitor With Display Stream Compression Technology at E3 2019

No thanks, I can do one more cable. See this is the waste of time/effort/resources on petty non-issues, convenience, where we could be using that for something better, like ummm making a better bios screen with proper english instead of broken shinezo-engl that I'm quite getting tired of, for...

AMD X570 Puts Out Up To Twelve SATA 6G Ports and Sixteen PCIe Gen 4 Lanes

YES!!!!! OH GODLIKE. I have a lot of drives and that's the BIGGEST problem I have with too little sata ports on most motherboards , and the fact that 2 of them "died", cause corruption if I try to use them. This is the final point here for me that seals the deal, so I don't need add-in cards...

Alleged ASUS AMD X570 Motherboard Price-list Paints a Horror Story

I like to rant sometimes when I feel good, even if something's annoying sometimes it's just cool in another way. I don't even know my self to be honest, when I heard it has fans on the chipset I was like "HECK YEAH" I'll see how much issues I'll have with the fan ... but the pricing stuff...

Alleged ASUS AMD X570 Motherboard Price-list Paints a Horror Story

Hahaha everyone angry on the Chipset Fan-cooling, I like it that it rubs your whiny mouths, I like that it's realistic and not some console-plug-n-play, they rather put a FAN on it then compromise the performance, that's the spirit! I understand the only valid point of small fans being noisy...

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Beats GeForce RTX 2070 in a Spectrum of Games

Wasn't the AMD Radeon VII marketed as 1440p and beyond, and this one as 1080p, change of wording it seems, I have 8 GB of VRAM right now for many years, I'm ABSOLUTELY NOT going to stick with 8GB if I upgrade the GPU in 1-2 years. You kidding me or what, I hope there's a 16GB GDDR6 version down...

Gigabyte Shows Off 15 GB/s PCIe 4.0 SSD

The good thing about it is at least I won't need a new PSU when I upgrade, I guess. Not sure how Radeon VII will do over RX 480

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Slide Leaked: Picture and Specs

Oops I goofed a bit, I haven't follwed HW for quite some time in detail, seems like the card for me the AMD Radeon VII with 16GB HBM2 is already out for months, pricy indeed, won't be building a new PC this year anyway. I should have known that mainstream stuff is always delayed, entusiast level...

AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Slide Leaked: Picture and Specs

So I'd say "Only 8GB ... FAIL" I have 8 GB now and it's not enough for sim games If this is the low-to-mid end then I guess the high end should have 24-32GB RAM right? That's going to be good for simulator games. I'm not getting anything below 16GB of VRAM, that's for sure.

    Sony PlayStation 5 Promises 4K 120Hz Gaming

@btarunr For the sake of technical-semantic accuracy because we are on such a site, the "virtual memory" could be changed to "additional memory" or something. Virtual does not mean pagefile. All memory is virtual, because the applications see only virtual memory, they don't talk directly to...

Gigabyte Shows Off 15 GB/s PCIe 4.0 SSD

Haha, no actually It's from the way good old days of Call of Duty 2 and 4. Translates to RussianSniper ... but it had nothing to do with actual Russians, except the COD2's soviet army stuff.

Gigabyte Shows Off 15 GB/s PCIe 4.0 SSD

I like the fact that more things are getting air fans just about when the convenience-freaks thought things are going to get super-ultra-green-low-power so that you wouldn't even need cooling anymore, welcome to reality. Still there is obsession with low power and is getting very annoying...

Kyle Bennett of HardOCP Joins Intel as Director of Enthusiast Engagement

Intel's prognosis was bad, no wonder they went berserk with hiring talent, but practically stealing Raja Kuduri from AMD is just low. This tells you how most companies aren't much more than a bunch of money-counters, paper exchangers, and logos, most of the work behind products is achieved by...

AMD Ryzen 3000 "Zen 2" BIOS Analysis Reveals New Options for Overclocking & Tweaking

Nothing for us dirty consumer pesants. Isn't this exactly the feature that everyone wants so you can disable bad memory cells and pass memtest and continue using the PC for some more time. Long overdue. Should be some kind of a setting to select which lets you select which cell, in HEX or...
