Thank you for the comprehensive review.
Where there any improvement or changes to G-Sync?
I am using Firefox and like others mentioned the font has too much anti-aliasing, it's really grey and the edges are soft, giving it a blurry...
Nvidia does give you the option to wait for the larger quarterly updates that will be available as standalone packages you can download. :)
The evga is just a regular 980Ti with a different cooler and higher clock speeds. Same PCB as reference.
I heard some complaints in reviews by buyers about the heatsink rattling and the fans having an unpleasant noise signature, any of this true?
Is that a good score?
Are they leaving the memory OC profiles to the most expensive ROG boards?
They are learning from the software industry. After beating Swiftech I am sure they were emboldened.
It will be interesting to see if it sells at $300. I have an Asus RT-N66U which I got for around $159 and I thought that was a very expensive...
What could go wrong you ask? ;)
Waiting for Ducky's version...
Is it me or does this just look like felt?
A light grey colour would have hid the dust better...
The 8-core looks like a strong contender when paired up with a Gen3 PCIe M.2 SSD.
The bar has been set, now we wait for the rest of the industry to rise to the challenge.
So this new SandForce SF-3700 is already almost maxing out the M.2 PCIe 2.0 x2 lanes configurations? This is excellent news!
Is the noise data just for the fans or does it include the fans+pump?
The ASRock has the M.2 hooked up to the CPU PCIe lanes. I think that's a worthy feature no one else has.
I just upgraded my TS-870 with an i5 3470S and 16GB 1.35v DDR3 and it works without issues. It is detected as a TS-870 Pro after the upgrades.
I think it's time to drop the PCI 2.0/3.0 slots...
Wow ridiculously good looking!
Yes that is accurate, however when you overclock the TDP increases beyond the rated Watts. These coolers are aimed at overclockers.
Hopefully they can do 60Hz when these 4K panels start shipping en masse.
It's mostly going into the pockets of the lawyers. That's how all class action lawsuits work.
I had this same fan whine with the regular 780 Classified. It was very annoying, luckily I was able to step-up to the vanilla 780Ti.
