AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 8 GB

From my perspective this is too little too late from old mate AMD. There are compelling aspects to this card like price/performance, mining, but too many drawbacks, like heat, power and being so late to bring this perf level to the playing field. GTX1080 owners have had this performance...

Thermaltake Introduces Wall-Mountable Core P1 mITX Chassis

Perhaps it uses a riser card that connects to one x16 slot but splits the bandwidth for two x8 slots? given the card is parallel to the motherboard surely a riser card with right angle slot is in play anyhow.

At the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, scientists were hard at work researching how to produce mechanical Graphene sensors. Working with membranes measuring only two atoms thick, there are 13 micrometer-sized round air filled cavities in a silicon surface (silicon oxide) that...

MSI Gives the GTX 1050 Low-profile Treatment

This is my thinking, if they can get a RX480, GTX1060 and indeed even higher onto an MXM board for a laptop pulling ~100w, then why not a low profile desktop card, albeit with a single PCI-E power connector.

MSI Gives the GTX 1050 Low-profile Treatment

I think the first to make a Low Profile GTX1060 or RX470/480 would have a fair few sales, it would be just the excuse I need to get an ultra tiny build going... GTX1050/Ti just isn't quite enough power to warrant it for me personally.

results of my new GTX1070 FE, is it normal?

70-75 deg is more than reasonable from my perspective, I see the area to avoid as 80+, not only for card life/excessive heat around the card/in the case etc but it keeps you away from throttling the core speed, at least thermal throttling.

Looks quite aggressive whats your max temps now?

results of my new GTX1070 FE, is it normal?

I generally go with a 1:1 fan curve these days, most cards that's far more aggressive than stock as I generally value lower temps over noise. Considering in one of your screenshots it was 79 degrees and ~50% fan if you ran 1:1 I don't see it ever really going over 75 deg.

NVIDIA Announces the GeForce GTX TITAN X Pascal

1080Ti will almost certainly follow at a lower price after they sell as many of these as they can. Might even drop the 1080 and 1070 prices slightly for it to fit in around ~700-900 USD at a wild guess. Maybe they fear AMD's newest/soon arriving offerings and are getting this out asap to make...

Would you buy GTX 1060 or RX 480 ?

1060 in a snap, I must admit a preference to NV cards for build quality/drivers, and I think the 1060 is well worth the slight premium over a 480 for those two reasons, plus the performance edge it has, lower power consumption, temps and overclock headroom. This is all if I hadn't gone out and...
