Maybe it was used. It was suspiciously cheap ;)
CLU arrived this week and today I had a chance to apply it and perform testing. Here's the results:
(+/- from stock)
Probably less than 5 minutes.
It wasn't too difficult. I was more scared of bending those tiny assed pins in the motherboard socket while removing/installing because they look...
Sorry it's what I had in stock at the moment. I explained that.
Free balling for sure. Will make that much easier when I get my liquid metal.
Yes but it may have spread out, settled, or otherwise migrated somewhat. You know what I mean.
Update: it appears as though my temps are normalizing back to at least what they were before I changed the TIM under the lid. I'll run the same...
I already have my own game mode activated:
Metered Ethernet Connection Enabled.
That's great now take it out of your mouth and go overclock something.
Cuz I'm old school and I learned how to overclock before Black Editions and K series SKUs :rockout:
I agree. I should have waited and ordered some liquid metal. This light weight grease (MX-4) is worse than the stock TIM.
I was worried as I saw some shiny traces exposed on two places on the plastic, but it booted up fine and here I am typing.
Ambient: 18.3C (Open Air Test Bench)
TPC-612 with TX-4
i3-6100 @4602MHz @1.488v (CPU-Z)
The TPC coolers have enormous thermal output, and I wasn't able to saturate the same cooler with highly clocked AMD processors so I doubt...
Your friend probably isn't pushing nearly 1.5v and a 1GHz OC.
With vista and 7 you can make a small ram disk drive and set it to ready boost. That will be light years faster than using a usb drive. If no ssd...
I have had my i3-6100 for about a year now and I am ready to delid.
My cooler, a TPC-612 leftover from hot AMD builds doesn't seem to help much...
Haters gonna hate
Good news for ultra low budget gaming rigs, but...
The timing is suspicious, and leads me to believe that they have been sandbagging this idea...
If it isn't 1.5v you aren't even trying yet.
It can be a bad hdd or ssd. They can cause weird crashes when they start going downhill.
Edit: also bad mobo southbridge or even bad sata...
Ugh apparently my AIDA license expired. Had it for a couple years at least. Might try out Sandra...
What 700W PSU model are they including for free? I could not figure that part out.
Add is genius and I hope it brings TPU revenue :D
They trying to make you forget that you can already overclock the cheap $110 i3-6100?
Separate names with a comma.
