So I reinstalled TF2 today. No effect
Dammit Source engine!
Nope. However, you have an HD5870. I've stumbled across a few forums with low fps on an HD5850, but never a HD5870.
Also, @ 'milord'...
I hate it when games team up with a certain graphics manufacturer.
All the other games are fine, Crysis, Mass Effect, GTA4. Just TF2 :banghead:
I disabled my internets, made a local server and filled it up with bots. Still 40-20fps in firefights :(
My game stutters every so often, and in mild firefights it already drops to 40-30 or even 20fps. I have acknowledged that this is not a hardware...
Could it have something to do with my shitty internet connection jumping to 400-500ms latency every so often? :banghead:
Dammit! Still not fixed. Nowadays I get 20fps in heavy firefights. Graphic settings don't do shit.
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I overclocked my fucking...
This is a completely new machine and the first one I play TF2 on. I have Win7 64-bit
Still haven't found a solution.
I've tried all kinds of stuff, including some kind of script which should boost FPS, but it didn't do...
Nopes. Also, I haven't enabled HyperThreading, so no virtual cores either. What the hell is going on here?
Yes, I'm checking with cl_showfps and still the same. Funny thing is, I overclocked my i7 to 3.8ghz so cpu speed should be the last of my worries....
Yeh both. Catalyst is now at v9.12 I think.
BTW the review of the HD5850 says that it should get around 80fps. What am I missing here?
Disabling multicore doesn't help a bit. Vsync is also off. This is very odd.
Hello lads at TPU! Please help me out here.
I love playing TF2, and I'm sure some of you do too. However, I have one quite annoying problem.
I SOLVED IT!
After a long procedure of trial and error, i noticed that it only stuttered if my internet was wrong. Assuming that my internet...
Also, I just rebooted the cable modem. The ping went down to 30-40 for little more than a minute then went back to 300-500. Me sad panda
No, I'm not downloading anything in the background, I made sure of that. Also, my sister has the exact same problem(i just checked). My guess is...
I've had this problem for a while now and since you folks are keen to help me, i will present you with this problem:
While gaming(TF2 in this...
Well that seems unlikely because I run Prime95 for 17 hours with RealTemp monitoring and my max temps are around 58c-52c. Could there be anything...
Well, you guys are all focusing on codecs, but you *seem* to forget that it also happens while gaming. Amirite?
Ok. So I've noticed the stuttering only happens a few hours after I started up my computer. I also tweaked the settings in the BIOS and it...
