    MSI 1080 ti possibly dying?

Norway? but yeah, that on die gpu sensor is silly, which might be to blame for you not being aware of the mounting issue you had? 63°C for a 250Watt TDP part doesn't seem too far off? I'm sure the big die helps heat transfer, but below 35°C at 325-350Watt for my 1080ti OC, while my 200-220Watt...

    MSI 1080 ti possibly dying?

40°C? Nice! Looks like you are ready for the xoc bios that unlocks up to 1.200Vgpu and no power limit now :fear:

    MSI 1080 ti possibly dying?

Those Superposition scores seems fine. Ran the same presets on mine @xoc bios stock clocks&volts, which I believe are slightly higher than yours (1999 vs 1873MHz). But I still think temps can be improved (down to 45-50°C), but it might not be worth the trouble?

    MSI 1080 ti possibly dying?

My cold, idle GPU temp is 21°C, so a deltaT of 33-21=12°C. Same method to your temps: 63-36.5=26.5°C, and you got overclocked vs stock also. Edit: stock xoc bios clocks&volt, temps:

    MSI 1080 ti possibly dying?

I'm sure it helps a little, what are your temps when just starting the computer and the coolant is still cold? When I first mounted my GPU water block, one of the mounting studs wasn't screwed all the way in from the factory (1.5turn left), and I got results similar to yours...

    MSI 1080 ti possibly dying?

I rarely see above 35°C on mine at 2100MHz/1.200Vgpu

    G Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V doesn t even work like a regular 3200

Isn't the G Skill Neo product range built for the AMD platforms? I'm sure it will work fine on Intel too, but maybe you need to set it up manually for optimal performance, which can be a deep dive if you plan to push it to the edge.

Unstable system - CPU, RAM or MOBO?

Lately I've been using GSAT (Google Stressful Application test) on a USB stick and booted from that to test RAM stability before risking the contents of my drives. I downloaded the one I've been using from here: GSAT linux live cd (how to easily and safely stress test memory) It's set up to...

My PC does not turn on when needed (Very strange issue)

Anything shorting something on the motherboard ?(motherboard mounting studs, perhaps a stud where there shouldn't be one?, slot covers, IO back plate etc). At this point I would test the board outside of the case (on the motherboard box or something non conducting and non static) with a bare...

8086k And overclocking on Aorus Z390 Master F11 bios

Longevity? I've noticed it's generally recommended to stay below 1.250V for VCCSA, but I've seen guys at 1.610V, and considering many boards Auto above 1.300V, I'm personally not very worried at 1.290V. I've also seen claims that too high VCCSA can cause instability, so maybe it's a matter of...

8086k And overclocking on Aorus Z390 Master F11 bios

I'm on the Masters little brother, the Aorus Pro, and going from 2x8GB to 4x8GB, I needed quite a bump in VCCSA. 1.250-1.290 from 3600CL15-3900CL15, while it almost didn't matter when using 2 sticks. But the 9900k might not have as good mem controller as the 8086k, and the Pro is a 4 layer PCB...

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

I'm out of ideas, hopefully someone with eagle vision will go trough your pictures to see if there's something wrong with the card physically. But to kill time, you could try to enter -500 for the memory clock in Afterburner, and try your games again. Reason is I believe the video ram on these...

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

I believe Furmark is considered a "power virus" by the nvidia drivers, so performance is intentionally capped. At least it used to be. Anyway, I try to avoid it because of that. But you see it only clocks up to 1600ish and below .9volts in your logs, so not very useful. I'm not so good when it...

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

But wouldn't that show up in the GPU-Z log? It's running at 2025MHz GPU clock according to the log... Did you friend "shunt mod" the card when he had it? ie put liquid metal on the current sense resistors? Many did this to get a little more OC out of their cards, and probably forgot about it...

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

Yes, I just tried the built in render test in GPU-Z, and GPU load is around 98% and my 1080ti is pulling 170W even in that basic test, no way CSGO only pulls 100W at 100% GPU load. So is the current sense circuitry broken? Was this card ever shunt modded malefiC? shunt mod is the practice of...

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

What sensor is bad? I don't see it, even put my glasses on :ohwell: EDIT: kinda odd that it's at 100% GPU util and only pulling 100W? (40% of its power budget) Or is it just the way CSGO runs?

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

Hmm...still very little information to go by, but my first reaction is that the GPU clock seems high for the amount of voltage it's getting. I see it all the way up to 2037MHz@1.0630V in your last log. I don't know your particular 1080ti model, but that seems high for stock clocks? My Palit...

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

That log seems fine, but I would log for more than 2 minutes if possible, to allow the card to heat up fully. Also, if COD is a problem, try getting a log for that. We need to see what happens with the card when it is running bad :)

HELP GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Xtreme 11G

So what is happening exactly? Is it throttling? Perf cap reason? May I suggest running GPU-Z with logging enabled during both working and non working game sessions and post the logs here?

HDR10 - Eye candy or annoying distraction?

I'm feeling dumb by asking this, but I can't see the full HDR effect from your screenshots in this thread on my normal non HDR monitor, right? Do you need special equipment to capture it (camera) ? And what image and video formats (for saving) supports it?

What do you use to scan & "clean" your PC for viruses/malware nowadays?

Same! Defender only here too. Also, unless I'm downloading apps from known reputable sites, I upload and scan the file using http://www.virustotal.com before running it. Sometimes I use the built in sandbox vm (win10 1903 and newer) to test out stuff to see if it seems safe.

problems with health when running a pc might be a psu

Oh, and just in case it is not obvious, a ground fault can make touching any electrical appliance in your home dangerous, as most metal chassis are connected to ground, even when turned off.

problems with health when running a pc might be a psu

Ground might not be "true" ground if an appliance connected close to you is faulty, or you have faulty electrical wiring in your home (might even be outside your home). It can be dangerous, and you should have it checked. I would strongly recommend getting someone professional to check it out...
