AMD Ryzen 5 4400G Desktop "Renoir" 6-core APU Put Through 3DMark11

"AMD's Ryzen 4000G line (...) will be a lot wider than just a couple of SKUs. ". 3 SKUs? 4700G, 4400G and 4200G? That's certainly 50% more than 2, it may qualify as "a lot wider"

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3980X is a 48-core Monster for When 64 Cores Are Too Many, 32 Too Few

What Candle_86 wrote were mantras of the industry in the 80's (640 KB of RAM being more than enough for anyone) and 90's (4 cores beeing unnecessary) that are obviously wrong by today's standards. He was being ironic, i don't think you got his point.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3980X is a 48-core Monster for When 64 Cores Are Too Many, 32 Too Few

So, you're saying that in just about 24 months, Intel will have something that is still below what AMD has today? Yey, good for them!

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X Beats Intel Core i9-10980XE by 24% in 3DMark Physics

You mean drop prices even further? Because these next gen HEDT 10 series cores are already half the price of the previous gen (https://www.anandtech.com/show/14925/intel-cascade-lakex-for-hedt-18-cores-for-under-1000). So it's not like Intel hasn't dropped their prices already.

    TSMC Unveils 6-nanometer Process

AMD "Zen 2" IPC 29 Percent Higher than "Zen"

AMD Zen 2 "Rome" MCM Pictured Up Close

I never said so, because i don't know what type of connection is used; the important thing is that there is some kind of connection, of link, and that adding cores to a CCX would multiply the number of such connections.

Well, yes: (https://www.anandtech.com/show/11170/the-amd-zen-and-ryzen-7-review-a-deep-dive-on-1800x-1700x-and-1700/5) See, in a 4 cores CCX there have to be 6 links between the cores, between their caches, actually, so that each cache can transfer data to and from every other core. AMD Zen 2 "Rome" MCM Pictured Up Close

Inside a CCX, every core has to be linked to every other core. Having 4 cores per CCX means there have to be 6 links established for this all-to-all communication. If they went with more than 4 cores per CCX, that number of links grows very quickly. 5 cores would require 10 links, 6 cores need...
