First 5700 build CanI use AIB reference VBios

That's my issue it is not the reference issue card but the Asus Dual 5700. That card only has limited reviews but $449 Canadian or $337.65 US was too good of a price. It's for a very good friend (who did not want to wait) so I want him to have the best experience possible. Ok so I found a card...

First 5700 build CanI use AIB reference VBios

One of the reasons to get the 5700 is you can flash it to the 5700XT and this card was $150 cheaper than any decent 5700XT. The cards have the exact same hardware specs other than power limit but from what I have read and watched it gives you noticeably improved performance by flashing.

First 5700 build CanI use AIB reference VBios

Good afternoon to the community. I doing a build and have the Asus Dual 5700 that was an inexpensive $449. The specific card is the Asus Dual-5700-08G-Evo. Would it be possible to use the Asus 5700XT reference VBios with this card? If not is there a BIOS file anyone is aware of that works with...

    AMD's next-gen RDNA 2 rumor: 40-50% faster than GeForce RTX 2080 Ti

When I look at AMD GPUs I only compare them to themselves. Was the 7950 noticeably faster than the 6850 yes. Was Polaris faster than Tahiti? Not really but at noticeably less power. Was Vega noticeably faster than Polaris yes. Is RDNA faster than Vega. Yes and it uses less power at 2/3 the power...

AMD Radeon MI100 "Arcturus" Alleged Specification Listed, the GPU Could be Coming in December

The problem I have with these are they create a false narrative. Even if the card turns out to be 95% of what these rumours are in terms of performance, it will be a failure in the eyes of some people.

    A Question About Motherboards

That is probably why just about every B550 and X570 boards come with a BIOS flash button. Even the lowly MSI X570 Pro has one.

Intel 11th Gen Core "Rocket Lake-S" ES Shown Running PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

I know what you are saying but Threadripper and Cascade Lake X are considered consumer chipsets. I also wistfully look at my 990FX Sabretooth as that is wired the way I believe mainstream boards should be wired. There is no reason (latency aside) that they could not easily put a PLX chip on the...

MSI Evoke 5700xt - Black screen

This will probably void your warranty and it is not for everyone but I have had 2 GPUs that were exhibiting these issues. One was a GPU I bought as early as last month. It has been my revelation that some GPUs do not have enough Thermal paste applied to the card. As opening both of those cards...

Konami Joins the Desktop PC Market with 3 New Models

Intel 11th Gen Core "Rocket Lake-S" ES Shown Running PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

If anything it will likely be spring of 2021 but we have gotten new MBs with every chip launch for Ryzen and maybe it will be A520 boards in terms of the thread though I wonder how many Z490 owners will pony up for an 11th Gen CPU?

Intel 11th Gen Core "Rocket Lake-S" ES Shown Running PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

Yes but AMD shafted all of us on X399 by making so that if we wanted to got 7nm we either paid through the nose for STrx chips, or lose a ton of bandwidth to come down to AM4. It doesn't even matter that X570 is PCIe 4.0 either as it is cheaper to buy 4 1TB NVME drives and put them in a less...

Intel 11th Gen Core "Rocket Lake-S" ES Shown Running PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

One can only hope. I thought that X570 would give us some PCIe love but once again I have been whemled.

    M.2 for legacy mainboard

Yes but NVME drives do not work on SATA. SSD drives do fit in M2 and SATA ports. In a lot of cases a 1 TB SSD will give you better sustained read and write performance than NVME in real world usage.

    M.2 for legacy mainboard

I used an M2 in an adapter card on a Fm2 board. As that was a PCIe 2.0 slot the max sequential read was 1.5 Gb/s in benchmarks. Windows 10 has native support for NVME so that should make it pretty painless. I don't know about boot but definitely check the MB manual for PCIe boot support. There...

TSMC Allocation the Next Battleground for Intel, AMD, and Possibly NVIDIA

Intel will use TSMC to gain mindshare. But if you don't think that samples will be going to Intel fabs you would be mistaken. If the past is anything to go by Intel is willing to do just about anything to maintain it's mindshare.

Intel Makes Changes to Technology Organization

To me this shows how being too big has hurt Intel. What I look at are the positions that each of those candidates held. Those are arguably two of Intel's most successful stories. There is no doubt that demand is super high during the pandemic but you can still buy (some) 10th Gen CPUs and...

    What to buy?

If the 2070 is so good why did they release the Super? Would not these prices fall even further when the prospect of buying a new (not just a refresh) GPU becomes more of a reality.
