I think your good, can you go to your bios and check the boot block date? should say 2011 or 2013... From memory, i'm sure the 2013 will work; I own some Z420's (they use the same BIOS)

When i turn the computer, only the mother board logo showing and nothing works

can you reset the bios? and like the others said; remove all extra's..... if you see the motherboard logo; that it actually a good thing. 99% of the time, if you get this far; your main components should be fine.. the issue could be any number things, bad over clock, overheating cpu (because of...

    M.2 for legacy mainboard

Sorry to say, but I don't think you will get much better speeds with an NMVE (if you get it to work) It will be bottle necked by the CPU, MEM speed & possibly the chipset. At the time of this board, SSD's were all SATA 6.0... You could use it for a data drive maybe?

if your boot block BIOS is 2013, with the latest update. it should support NVME https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Boot-and-Lockup/Z620-M2-NVME-support-in-bios-update/td-p/7038538

Is the xeon e7 4890 v2 compatible with my x79g chinese board?

Sorry man, i think its this socket.. "LGA 2011-1 (Socket R2), an updated generation of the socket and the successor of LGA 1567, is used for Ivy Bridge-EX (Xeon E7 v2),[6] Haswell-EX (Xeon E7 v3) and Broadwell-EX (Xeon E7 v4) CPUs, which were released in February 2014, May 2015 and July 2016...

Apple to Develop the Metal Family of GPUs, Dump AMD Radeon

My thoughts exactly; I think you may have answered your own question, their focus may not be on creative professionals. I'm no expert, but I don't think they can match AMD or Nvidia... I just cant see how its possible.

Intel Releasing 10 core 20 thread i9-10900KF for $499 very soon... 5.2 Ghz boost

I don't think it works like that; I think it comes down to the game engine and how its written. But I'm no software expert. I would say that the most games are optimized for 1-6 threads...it may require a rewrite; or a more likely scenario is ported over from another platform.

Intel Releasing 10 core 20 thread i9-10900KF for $499 very soon... 5.2 Ghz boost

I'll say this again; I love the competition back in the CPU market. That is nothing to complain about. Just because the software basically can't utilize the full potential of some new hardware is not a reason to get upset. Really all this is good; if your into 4 core cpus; then you should be...

Intel Releasing 10 core 20 thread i9-10900KF for $499 very soon... 5.2 Ghz boost

16 cores may be overkill as of today; but you have to remember, if the mainstream core count increases the trend will continue to optimize software to use the extra resources. Can you run windows now on a 2 core/ 2 thread cpu? not very well; its starting to choke. The mainstream CPU now has 4-6...

It is scary to me that Windows Update is now flashing the computer's BIOS!

Simple answer; yes, it is scary!! Is there an "official" bios recent release from the manufacturers site? I'm probably wrong; but does this have anything to do with Intel and the latest patches? crazy stuff....all these patches; if they keep coming out; seems like CPU performance may start to...

Intel Releasing 10 core 20 thread i9-10900KF for $499 very soon... 5.2 Ghz boost

I'm going to "not agree" rather than "disagree" also. Are you saying that you would want to pay $400 for an Intel 4 core CPU vs a Intel 10 core CPU for $500? I don't get that mindset. If the core war had not started due AMD being competitive again; this is where we would still be. $350-$390 for...

Intel Releasing 10 core 20 thread i9-10900KF for $499 very soon... 5.2 Ghz boost

Well; the IPC improvements make up for most of that. The goal is too not push the clock to high. Efficiency goes way down.

Microsoft Could Bring x86-64 App Emulation to Windows on ARM

3-4 years of desktop x86 Processor improvement will still be faster. I don't think AMD or Intel have any notion to stagnate in these "core wars" we are having now. I could be wrong; but I don't see the desktop going anywhere soon. People have been predicting the death of the desktop for 20+...

Apple Introduces 16-inch MacBook Pro, the World's Best Pro Notebook

Are you saying that Apple makes more money off Macs than IPhone sales? I'd like to see some data on that. I'm pretty sure the IPhone is what brought Apple to the Empire it is today.

NVIDIA Releases GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER Graphics Card: GDDR6 Makes A World of Difference

Its good to see lower prices and completion (well, slight competition) in the GPU space again. I'm kind of rooting for Intel also; this should lower some prices some more. I'm just glad the over inflated "mining craze" gpu prices have gone close to normal again.
