    RTX 3080 power supply requirements - 850W?

Like I said, if you have a very good 650w unit it will work as the 525w figure was a peak number not a constant pull. Obviously with a system that draws less power than techspot's test rig, the individual's power requirements will be lower.

    RTX 3080 power supply requirements - 850W?

techspot was pulling around 525w peak off their test rig so I would say a 850w would not be "overkill" if you were in the market for a new PSU. If you already have a very good 650w or solid 750w then I don't think you would not necessarily need a new unit (unless noise was becoming a factor).

    System is freezing.

Who said the units are shoddy? Cheaply built, sure.

    System is freezing.

Not sure what there is to blame or why it would be CWT. For the price point and quantity of order, you would have a hard time finding a better unit. You can certainly blame the industry for making PSU marketing and regulations a joke. You can certainly blame Corsair for entering a lower tier...

    System is freezing.

That's not how manufacturing works. Corsair gives CWT a manufacturing price point and CWT has a platform to match it (the most likely outcome) or CWT creates one (typically for a higher priced unit). The manufacturing part list is also approved by Corsair. If I gave you $10 to bring me lunch...

    Cyberpunk 2077 specs who's surprised?

From what I recall MS stated win 10 as an OS was better optimized for multi core CPU allowing DX12 better performance on win 10 vs win 7. Not sure if DX12 on win 7 actually lacked features.

    System is freezing.

i don't think you really know what you are talkinga bout when it comes to power supplies...:( the TX850M is a very good power supply (also built by CWT further proving the above statement false) but power supplies really don't create random system freeze. That's often a software, driver, ram...

    Cyberpunk 2077 specs who's surprised?

Actually if you read one of his reviews you would see he does in fact test every one of those cards with the latest drivers as this is verbatim from that August 2020 5600XT review (posted above). AMD: Radeon 20.2.2 WHQL NVIDIA: 442.19 WHQL All games and cards are tested with the drivers...

    Cyberpunk 2077 specs who's surprised?

four years after release? In April 2021 the AMD 580 will be as fast as the nvidia 1070? Here's the TPU gaming suite performance chart from August 2020. 1070 still offers 30% performance over the AMD 580. What driver is going to improve performance by 30% across a suite of games in the next...

    Cyberpunk 2077 specs who's surprised?

i don't think your "theory" is accurate. 570 would be around the 970 4GB in performance while the 580 and 1060 are in the same ballpark, neither being close to the 1070

    Help with psu please

your ego is getting the best of your desire to always be "correct". Get this through your head Bill, you were WRONG. You are WRONG on the link above as only the S3FC starts in fanless move, the S2FC starts in fanless mode when it's off (as in no power, PC is off). flip a coin, no bad...

The New "Can it run Crysis" Standard...

I also like the original game and actually had no issues playing it on a Nvidia 8600GT at the time, the game scaled relatively well. The one thing I did not like about the game is how it really changed the PC gaming industry at the time. You had this new wave of PC gamers (I call them Crysis...

It's the gold TX650M and not the bronze? If so, get the cheaper of the two as you won't notice a difference.

PSU buying advice - Focus PX 750 vs Prime PX 750 vs Prime TX 750

you can figure out the cost savings with the linked calculator going from 80+ to titanium and everything in between. For me, going from gold to titanium would save me less then $1.50 per year.

Make sure all the power supply cables are plugged in securely both to the hardware and PSU. Also what PSU do you have?

PSU buying advice - Focus PX 750 vs Prime PX 750 vs Prime TX 750

All three are excellent and come with at least ten year warranties so Seasonics believes they will last you a good amount of time. In the real world you won't notice a difference between them. Get the cheapest one and save your money for the RTX 3080.
