    AMD Radeon Pro Duo Preview

The only reason they wouldn't send W1zzard a sample by now is that if the card has so many driver issues it isn't worth even $800. AMD is most likely hoping to rope in a few thousand early adopters before the complaints start rolling in. Don't be a victim, wait for a proper review. If I had any...

Will you upgrade to Intel Skylake?

lilhassel, I see above you have insisted to try to inject more insults into your posts with each subsequent post . You threw out the discussion when you started in with the insults so many posts before. There were no insults to your character except that you were using insults over the...

Will you upgrade to Intel Skylake?

http://sciencenetlinks.com/science-news/science-updates/apes-vs-toddlers/ This was what I was getting at above. It is put in simple terms. You can click the audio link if you don't feel like reading it. I didn't say it was the only difference, I said "the major difference" and that is an...

Will you upgrade to Intel Skylake?

I will answer your direct statements in order to keep this brief. Leaving out the computer side because I have said my piece regarding that already and my job offers me little free time due to what I am in charge of in my company. 1 and 6. Yes, claiming drug use is the cause of anyone with a...

Will you upgrade to Intel Skylake?

Saying someone is a drug user is an insult if it is stated just because someone has a different opinion. It's called manners, etiquette, or respect to not resort to name calling. I am guessing they didn't teach that where you went to school or are currently enrolled. Making strange antic...

    Corsair Strafe Gaming Keyboard

My Corsair K65 Vengence's are tenkeyless. I wonder if they will have a strafe that is tenkeyless. I would get one or two probably.

Will you upgrade to Intel Skylake?

Do you try to insult everyone you disagree with? I think it is best to treat others with respect personally. I group things up into uses rather than Intel's marketing groups. I will do my best to explain what I was getting at more completely. I was referring to choosing between four fast cores...

NVIDIA Releases GeForce 355.98 WHQL Game Ready Drivers

Wow, I didn't know I was playing with only one card. Thanks for the info.

NVIDIA Releases GeForce 355.98 WHQL Game Ready Drivers

I thought it performed fine before the driver update but it is always nice to see improvements. :)

Will you upgrade to Intel Skylake?

The associated cost with the super high end enthusiast line is only worth it for the very few of us that need it. What that 2011/2011 v3 enthusiast segment is best for is beaten by Xeon offerings which fill that void beyond it. Socket 2011 and 2011 v3 is a compromise at best. It offers an...

    AMD Radeon R9 Nano CrossFire

980 ti SLI needs to be added to the comparison. It is more common than nano Crossfire and it is the most relevant to the card comparison since the price point is the same.....

Will you upgrade to Intel Skylake?

Just switched my platform to use a 6700K. Haven't OC'ed it yet. I wonder if overclocking will help my SLI scale even better. Bought it at the retail MSRP since getting a deal on Skylake is impossible right now. Perhaps add a line to the poll for those that bought it already?

R9 390 or wait for Fury Nano?

Maybe 2 Fury Nano's? I love my 980 ti's in SLI but I figure you don't like the green team that much. Good luck no matter what you pick. :) People have been selling used 390X's for pretty cheap already. You might be able to snatch one up!

Advice: Real Benefit from Faster SSD?

That is some serious browsing. I wouldn't think the upgrade would be noticeable unless your current SSDs are degrading. Also some of the 840 EVOs had a new firmware that came out to fix read speed degradation from repetitive error checking building up. You should read about it if you haven't. It...

    AMD Radeon R9 Fury X 4 GB

I was itching for an upgrade and this release hasn't given me a reason. More power consumption and less performance than the SLI 980 ti setup I am using. I guess I will just grab a new ASUS Gsync monitor instead.

I have experienced high failure rates with Asrock. Nonexistent consumer warranty?

I am the thread OP. Are you trolling? My RMA request with Newegg was rather simple. I stated that I tested the motherboard with two known working sets of compatible hardware and it would not boot or show anything on either monitor. RMA request was accepted, then the RMA was declined as...

    Power consumption : Details?

Well if he has an air conditioner that is terribly inefficient fighting its heat generation...... Just playing the devils advocate. :) BTW his per unit power cost claim checks out good: http://www.eia.gov/electricity/monthly/epm_table_grapher.cfm?t=epmt_5_6_a

I have experienced high failure rates with Asrock. Nonexistent consumer warranty?

The Serial number or address of the reviewer could give away that it was going to be used in a review. You would most likely have to get a random person to buy it, RMA it, and pass on the data to be included in a review. That is exactly why I will use the normal route to initiate my RMA and...

I have experienced high failure rates with Asrock. Nonexistent consumer warranty?

I used Newegg as RMA first as it was what Asrock instructed me to do via their website. It it was rejected. Soon I will send Asrock an email to see if they will offer any form of coverage or repair options for me on my other motherboards. I can't send it right now because I am working 14 hours...

I have experienced high failure rates with Asrock. Nonexistent consumer warranty?

Store support in the United States at brick and mortar is horrendous in my area at least. Although almost all manufacturers I have dealt with have been great. That is why I avoid using stores as much as I can thanks to bad experiences. There is a lot of scammers, thieves, and boosters around...

I have experienced high failure rates with Asrock. Nonexistent consumer warranty?

Well I don't live in Australia but I did read about people having to use the Attorney General's office and that was the only thing that worked to avoid a $50 fee despite poor workmanship of a cold solder joint. According to here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1439341/asrock-rma-issue For my own...

Well I am sorry to hear about that but it gives me the heads up to watch out for it. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It helps with understanding various perspectives handling the situation. But I will see if they accept my RMA directly and I guess I'll try my luck.

I have experienced high failure rates with Asrock. Nonexistent consumer warranty?

    1. I made no wild assumption, I simply stated the things that I read over forums. That is not an assumption. An assumption is: "a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof." In this case the proof is through multiple places I read and no further judgement was made...

I have experienced high failure rates with Asrock. Nonexistent consumer warranty?

Sadly, two of the three that went out were not OC'ed at all and running stock. Airflow was low RPM 120mm fans with low CFM, so perhaps I should consider better case airflow as a preventative measure in the future. Thank you.
