Will this power supply run this system?

I've had an Antec fail in a PC I built for my brother.

I am confused: Corsair or CoolerMaster 600W PSU?

Seasonic because all of the best Corsairs are built by Seasonic.

Will this power supply run this system?

I was temporarily running the system listed in my System Specs on a Rosewill 500W PSU from 6 years ago with just the 4-pin CPU power connector after my OCZ GameXStream 700W died (after only 3 years). It ran just fine. I disconnected my optical drive and temporarily set everything back to...

I am confused: Corsair or CoolerMaster 600W PSU?

Just got a Seasonic to replace an OCZ (which was about the same price) that died after only 3 years. Happy with it so far. Hoping it lasts a lot longer then the OCZ.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

Yea I was tempted to go with the PCP&C 760W, but case noise is an issue for me so I went with the Seasonic X750, which is silent under normal operation. I also didn't want to give anymore money to OCZ. Not sure if PCP&C still has its own support, but OCZ's support was absolutely horrible and...

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

Ohhh that explains the extra connector and the PCI-E/CPU connector on the PSU side. I was quite confused by that. I didn't even think about dual CPU rigs.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

I don't know about yours, but mine came with 3 different CPU connectors. An old school 4-pin 4 pin, a 4-pin to 8-pin and a 6-pin (but with two dummy pins) to 8-pin. Not really sure why.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

Yea my X750 has been good so far too and as you said, I don't think the fan has actually spun up yet. Maybe a bit during games, but unlike my OCZ, the PSU is no longer the loudest part of my PC. Interesting, do you have the PSU on the bottom of the case? Mines on the top, and the CPU cable...

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

Just thought I'd update everyone on this thread. I ended up going with the Seasonic X750 while it was on sale Thanksgiving weekend for $109. Haven't ran it very long so far, just got it last night. My initial impressions are pretty good. It's a bit bigger then the dead OCZ, and the weight...

    New power supply

I'm currently dealing with a dead OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU and OCZ's support is absolutely horrible. They have a ticket based system for RMAs and after dealing with them I will never buy another OCZ PSU again. I'm currently looking for a new PSU as well, and was kinda hoping their would be a...

Intel core i5 2500k cpu stock cooler question.?

Just built a 2500K system last night. And as the others said, I can confirm yes it does.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

There seems to be two camps: The people who say they have never heard their Seasonic make any noise at all, and the people who complain about coil whine.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

I was about to order it until I saw that many people complain about "coil whine" on it. The 750W is on sale today for $120 which also seems like a good price, but the same issue seems way to common reading around the web.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

I'm sorta leaning toward the Cosair HX650 or the Seasonic X-650 now because quietness is certainly important. Probably should have just ordered the Seasonic while it was $99 yesterday but I'm gonna wait and see if Newegg has any deals on these or similar models on Friday. If not I guess I'll...

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

Would the Silencer 760W be noisier then my old OCZ or a Corsair HX650/750?

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

I think I'd rather have the 7 year warranty on the PC Power and Cooling then the modularity. What I really want to know is why they include carrying cases with it.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

Ok cool, I had a feeling the more traditional PCP&C design was better.

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

That really sucks too because I paid over $100 for the OCZ at the time too and I thought it was a good one. I was thinking about PC Power and Cooling as well. Any reason to go with the 760W over this 750W one with a 120mm vs 80mm fan? PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II 750W

    Replacing Dead OCZ GameXStream 700W

A few days ago my OCZ GameXStream 700W PSU in my main rig died. After some searching around it turns out they have been failing in droves over the past year. It is a bit over 3 years old (conveniently, the length of the warranty). I am currently waiting for OCZ to reply to my RMA request and...

    Upgrading old Athlon 64 Rig

It's for my brother who is looking to play BF3, and yes he will be upgrading the videocard soon too, but probably a few months down the road. So yes, it's mostly an upgrade for gaming. In terms of overclocking, why would it be better to go with 4x2 Ram? I've always overclocked PCs with 2...

    Upgrading old Athlon 64 Rig

I wasn't too aware of bulldozer, there isn't any benchmarks out yet is there?

    Upgrading old Athlon 64 Rig

His hard drives are SATA. It's the optical drives that are IDE. And yes I know a SATA DVD-RW drive is like $20 so its not a big deal really.

    Upgrading old Athlon 64 Rig

Wow, didn't realize they got rid of IDE on these P67 boards. Seems only the Asus has an IDE controller. He still has 2 great working IDE optical drives. Edit: Would this system have any trouble running off of an older Cooler Master eXtreme Power 600W PSU? My concern about it is that it only...

    Upgrading old Athlon 64 Rig

Having built systems in the mid 2000s I don't have good impressions of either ASRock or Biostar but I've heard they have come a long way.

    Upgrading old Athlon 64 Rig

I've been kinda out of the loop on PC hardware lately, but I'm upgrading my brother's PC. He's currently running a Athlon 64 on a DFI Ultra-D motherboard with 4GB of Ram and a Geforce GTX 250. Looking at upgrading the CPU, RAM, and motherboard. Looking at about $500 budget. So far I've...
