    Weird graphics issue in Oblivion...

I have HDR enabled; disabling it had no effect on this issue. It's definitely something to do with the distantlod files, because dropping the draw distance immediately fixes it. For some reason, when a cell is entered a few times (leaving and entering stores, etc) it seems to be loading the...

    Weird graphics issue in Oblivion...

This seems to happen occasionally when I exit a building in Oblivion; I can walk through the weird, distantlodish mesh things that appear. It seeems like it's a distantlod mesh, it also happens to regular buildings and the like in Oblivion. None of my other games have any issues, and my HD4870s...

I think the vram on my HD4850 is going.

-sorry for bumping this- Upgraded to a HD4870 & Corsair 650TX, GPU and PSU worked perfectly! Thanks for the replies. Now I have to replace my mobo & E4500. I killed them when reseating my HSF.

I think the vram on my HD4850 is going.

Occasionally I'll get vram artifacts in W7, this started when I replaced a random DLL a month or two ago so I had reinstalled windows back then; it cropped up again today at like 2AM. If I run the artifact scanner in ATI Tray Tools for an hour or two it still says "0 Artifacts". It seems to...

    Your PC ATM

Nowhere else to put it due to the horrible router I have, and the fact I'm stuck sharing my rig with three people - hard to find an agreeable location. Air does go through through it, but it gets like that pretty quickly. Idle & load are fairly safe though; idle is 40 something, and load is in...

    HSF's for 4850 xfire?

Hey, what are some good HSFs for 4850 xfire? I might go XFire after xmas (well, actually...it'd be my Xmas gifts. XD) , but I don't want to have to use my duorb on one of the cards as it'd just blow hot air onto it. I was thinking of buying two of these, but I don't really trust it...

Thinking of trying to make a case from scratch...

I'm thinking of trying to make a case from scratch, but I'm stumped on how I'd make the motherboard tray, the expansion slots, and how I'd make the 3.55 and 5.25 bay cages. I already figured out the dimensions for the case itself, but yeah.. Any ideas on how I should do that? I'm only going to...

    Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 X2 2048 MB

Yay! been wanting to see a review of the HD4850x2. Like Zithe said, you should try Oblivion + Qarls Texture Pack 3 + More then everything visible when distant, that puts a load on almost any setup.

I had always assumed that #2 was the VRM temp. Now I feel silly. :p Thanks for pointing that out, W1zzard. :respect:

    4850 VRM Temps?

Are these temps safe for the VRM on a 4850? I have a DuOrb Installed at the moment, didn't do the hacksaw thing with my stock cooler, though. Specs: E4500, P5L VM-1394, 4850 , 2.0 GB G.Skill DDR2 667 RAM, and I forgot the make/model of my PSU
