ASUS GeForce GTX 590 3072 MB

FYI that is a generic logo they use for all their recent cards that support overvolting. ...etc If you read the fine print, it also mentions that it's "up to 50%"

MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC 1024 MB

I'm curious, why do you still put "DirectX 11 relevance limited at this time" as a con? Pretty much every contemporary card has support for it, so it's not like a customer is paying extra specifically for DirectX 11.

ZOTAC GeForce GT 430 1 GB

Sleeve bearing fan? Yuck. (Especially in a horizontal-orientation application like a graphics card)

    4850 + 8500GT = PhysX support?

PhysX acceleration with cards that have less than 32SP was depreciated a while ago

Thermalright Readies Shaman 140 mm VGA Cooler

Looks kinda crude for a Thermalright product. I hope the retail product will have more polish to it, so to speak.

ASUS GeForce GTS 450 TOP DirectCU 1 GB

I dunno man. The GTX460 768mb looks like a much better value for folding to me.

    Just found these awesome heatpipes.

Scythe used these heatlane things in their old coolers http://www.silentpcreview.com/article187-page1.html

BFG Tech Announces Exit From Graphics Card Category, Continues On With PSUs and PCs

That's not profitable. GT200 is a large die. But would it be good for BFG? I'm quite certain it's not.

PowerColor HD 5750 Go Green 1024 MB GDDR5

The silver stuff is solder. High end CPU heatsinks such as the Megahalems and TRUE have soldered fins as well.

PowerColor HD 5750 Go Green 1024 MB GDDR5

I'm surprised they decided to use a digital PWM and a volterra chip. That's good stuff.

HIS Radeon HD 5750 iCooler IV 1 GB

But they're not the same card. It's like calling a 9600GT ugly compared to a GTX280

HIS Radeon HD 5750 iCooler IV 1 GB

    Why would this be a con? It's a 5750, not a 5770.

    AMD Athlon II X4 620 2.6 GHz

Wait, so the IHS isn't soldered on Regors? (referring to pic on p.2 of the review)

I think a Mugen 2 or Kabuto would be better.

MSI Reveals Secret Behind Twin Frozr Cooler Design

The 4850 actually isn't that hot. The reference cooler just sucks. Most of it is painted aluminum.

I agree, but it certainly fits the name. Blood. Red.

Do NVIDIA's CUDA and PhysX play a role in your buying decision?

I've never used CUDA for anything. None of my game support PhysX either. I bought my 8800GT because it was dirt cheap on boxing day lol

AMD Comments on EC Ruling that Intel Violated EU Law, Harmed Consumers

I don't think Athlon XP's had hypertransport Athlon 64 (K8) came out in 2003 Hypertransport has gotten faster since then though. It's Hypertransport 3.0 now, and runs at a much higher speed than 1.0
