Relative performance table ? Go pick up some game benchmarks and come back, you have plenty on that review.
Don't worry, i will help you:
And i'm pretty sure the 7970GHZ results are based on the 12.11 BETA which are a couple of months old...
You are right but still, the 7970 GHZ outperforms the GTX 680 @ Crysis 3, its not a lie when they say AMD has the "the world's most powerful graphics cards".

This is weaker for you ?:
It's a limited edition, they've always been expensive but you can get the same performance with two 7970 clocked to 1100/1500.
They only released the GK104 because of the well known manufacture problems of TSMC (the yields weren't high enough), if NVIDIA could they would have sold the GK110 for a premium price (800-900 u$d like the GTX 690 or 8800 Ultra) without hurting the sells of the GK104.
In fact i believe the...
Impressive results:
7970 @ 1230/1700 [CAT 12.8]:
7970 @ 1230/1700 [CAT 12.11]
So right now we can consider the 7970 GHZ as the fastest single-gpu graphics card ?.
Honestly i was so close to sell my 7970 (1250/1700, 1.19v - Accelero ), somehow my sixth sense told me to stop fucking wasting money xD...glad i listened.
Nevertheless i think they saved this kind of performance boost for the right moment (now) which is kinda gay considering the price some of...
My results after running Heaven benchmark @ 8x MSAA / 16x AF / Tess @ Extreme:
Highest temp: 63 degrees with the card OCed to 1225/1650 (29 degrees ambient temp). Check out the Toxic temps @ 1200/1600 and i am not even considering noise.
So...thats enough for you ? As i said the Toxic cooler...
If they decide to keep using the same internal TIM (3570K/3770K) those Ivy-E of 6 and 8 cores will be a HUGE fail, the temperatures under OC will be terribly high. In the other hand if they decide to go back to the fluxless solder it will just prove they fucked up intentionally with the current...
Is there any particular reason to pick this MB over the G1.Sniper 3 ?, the Gigabyte is waaay cheaper having the same extras (dual nic, plx 8747, SoundBlaster Recon3Di, 12 phases).
Tried a BIOS for 512MB PCIe 1950Pro, still, cant go past 621Mhz on the core, flash went correctly...
I dont know what else to try, i guess only option for more performance is to wait for the new R600 :respect:
Any modified BIOS aviable for my PowerColor 1950Pro 512MB ?, its the version that comes with the accelerox2, cant go past 621/700, the memories i cant oc them at all.
Thanks in advance.
Leopr.
Yea, thats what i do, increments of 27Mhz but even at 727 it gives me artifacts, i guess thats the top of the memory, bad luck :( , but i wonder if i could push up a bit more the core speed with a modified bios.
Yea but it gives me some artifacts as soon i touch the memory, using the latest ATi Tool beta, right now its clocked at 627/695.
On the X1000 overclocking options i got set Use Driver Level OC, thats correct right ? or i have to do something more ?
I cant get past 625/700 with my PowerColor X1950Pro Extreme 512mb, is there any modified bios ?, i guess i cant touch the memories but the core should overclock a bit more.
I asked Power Color regarding my X1950Pro 512MB Accelero X2 and the VRMs, they said they can operate @ 125 degress with no problem.
I got also the ceramic heat spreaders, i might add some ram skins soon tho, i will have to remove the ceramic spreaders or put the ram skins over them ?.
