The fact that AMD doesn't sell a top tier card is a larger frustrations than I can express in words. The lack of competition has pushed nvidia prices for mediocre products to the moon. So, yea as a consumer I consider the 5700 to be a complete pile of trash.
Performance is eclipsed by a mild OC on a 1080Ti from 2 years ago. This is not impressive to me. I wait impatiently for the higher tier cards since the 2080(ti) didn't impress me either they were only minor improvements over the 1080Ti.
Doesn’t matter what TIM you use there are not coolers that can handle the specific heat output of current HEDT. The smaller and smaller dies are causing larger issues since the surface area to dump the heat off keeps shrinking. While not a major issue with these little baby 200w chips those of...
I still don't see a point in purchasing these cards. It is rather unfortunate two years later the highest tier card AMD produces is at the level of a 1080Ti. I hope big Navi crushes...the space needs competition or it will stagnate.
If they received a patent list and it matched the patents there is no reason to look into it further.
The patents filed that are in this should never have existed and describe exactly what is wrong with the US patent system.
This should never have been approved and a team of lawyers convinced...
Many companies do this or ignore the issue and let the end user suffer. I would rather they release the updated board with the upgraded VRM, then just ignoring the issue, which is what basically everyone did except MSI with TR4 and the 2990WX.
My supermicro cases can hold 11 if configured with 3.5" bays instead of 2.5", I am now curious if I can pull the 5.25 bays and have it hold 12 though.

Neither is actually important. CPU stability is important, past that its a flame game of fanboys.
My CPU runs quite warm under load. It also pulls more wattage than just about anyone else's on the page. Actual enthusiasts build around that instead of complaining about it. If I can dissipate...
Load temps don’t really matter though. CPU stability is stability.
AMD TDP is based off of P0 which is max clocks without boost per AMD.
here is a link confirming that information

took back that top 2990WX spot, because bdie. I think I have the little bit more to take that W3175X. Will try again tomorrow.
PARC is who was responsible for everything cool thing ever done by xerox and is currently working on AI tech. Big or small many things we rely on daily came from the company.
I am hoping that the TRX40 setup gives me a reason to swap over from my 2990WX. Better clocking would be pretty nice, I am however nervous there will not be any MATX offerings which kinda hurts my cool case setup I have going right now.
