Nicehash Ad on TPU main site

That ad was certainly jarring and while it's certainly not easy on the eyes, I think it could have been substantially worse. Many large sites run far more intrusive ads. Passionate disagreements aside, I think we, the TPU community, have three options. Direct support (which I prefer), ads of...

Rockstar resets 'apartment garage glitch' cheaters' GTA V accounts

At least with my friends, we would get maybe halfway through a mission before my friends would start turning on each other. Saw it mentioned before and I didn't think about it until now, FiveM actually was usually more fun.

    2 diffrent ram speeds?

I didn't see it explicitly mentioned, but if you have two different sticks, your board will match settings of the slower stick. You could "overclock just one" by manually changing your speed and timings to match what the faster stick is rated for. A thousand times this. Friends don't let...

    Four pen molex in gpu

Using the adapter shown by micropage above, yes but you'll want to check the specs on your power supply to make sure it's strong enough. Each 8-pin PCIe power plug is designed to take up to 12.5 amps on your 12v rail. Your power supply will need to provide however many amps are already being...

What it is really like to own a 5700-XT Recorded: 21/05/2020

Junction temps of 110c are reportedly normal across all 5700-series cards but it is definitely odd that it's not kicking up fan speed. I was going to say the same thing as Regeneration. Especially it being a new card, I would reach out to Gigabyte's support. Never was too big of a fan of...

What is the oldest piece of continually running hardware you currently use with your rig?

My Logitech Z5500 is going strong as well and easily counts as my oldest part still in use. Runner up for me are my old power supplies. I'm really glad I eventually started buying nice ones.

AMD Ryzen 7 4700G "Renoir" Desktop Processor Pictured

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, DirectX 12 was supposed to split rendering workload between all available GPUs. A quick Googling says that feature is called Explicit Multi-GPU and I guess developers found it too tough to implement. That would, in theory, allow your integrated Intel...

AMD Ryzen 7 4700G "Renoir" Desktop Processor Pictured

FOOLS! We need to all talk about how we wouldn't pay more than $200 for this so when AMD looks around online at threads like these, they price it just a little higher than our expectations and we get a nice processor for cheap!

    Is it worth it?

Unless I'm missing something, more cores does make everything better in those benchmarks. The Photoshop, Premier Pro, and Blender benchmarks are measured in seconds and have a "Lower is better" stamp on the image in the top right. It shows that having 50% more cores makes the time it takes to...

    fake or not

I think a little better explanation is in order. It looks like that R7 350 is the real deal, but it's not all that powerful by today's standards. Depending on the resolution and graphics settings that you run and which games you want to play, that card will have enough power to do some gaming...

TPU's Rosetta Milestones and Daily Pie Thread

Anyone else get the feeling that Rosetta is a little less friendly at sharing resources than WCG? I can usually run WCG in the background without really noticing it but Rosetta seems like it's making things a bit slower. If not, it won't be for a lack of trying.

    Is it worth it?

I've never known Photoshop to be shy about taking resources. Me personally, I would consider the Ryzen 2600 and 32GB of memory enough to do most anything I'd want to do. Gaming, I wouldn't expect any significant issues with an upgraded GPU and a Ryzen 2600. Depending on the game and visual...
