A petty move from desperate AMD.
With Ryzen and Vega, AMD hates gaming amd overclocking. :)
Every generation the bar is decreased by AMD. Maxed out Navi will only compete with the GTX 2060 if this continues.
1950x + Vega = nuclear level
And then Arctic Coolers think their tiny heatsinks will be able to cool these.
LOL the same ol' Hardware Unboxed video and no one else's review.
There's a reason why AMD used an Intel config when they showed off Vega because...
What do you expect? It's Ryzen with moar cores. It's an overclocked Sandy Bridge in games, a Broadwell-E (sometimes) in benchmarks.
Great in synthetic benchmark but falls short in real world like Ryzen.
Jim Keller left the sinking ship first.
Sounds like all AMD products. None of them are 'overclocker's dream.'
Consoles don't count.
Why so triggered just because AMD is still the budget brand?
7800x is $390 and beats the overpriced 1800x most of the time.
8800k will be $350, replacing the current 7700k.
Only thing AMD can do is lower...
If Anandtech's 7800x review is to be trusted, then the 8700k will have no problem competing with AMD's fastest mainstream model.
Welp... Ryzen had a good run. But Intel 6 cores is more consistent in productivity. Factor in gaming and that assessment multiples itself.
They will need it since these are nuclear reactors. Forget about overclocking them plus AMD products suck at overclocking.
This is like Walmart trying to sell Louis Vuitton products.
Another Fudzilla lie. Vega will have to compete against a Volta GTX 2060 LOL
Nvidia acts as if AMD doesn't exist. They are literally competing...
I believe the Taichi x299's 8 pin is throttling the 7900x. Many people are saying it needs 8+4 pin to work well with that 10 core nuclear warhead....
Most people don't even consider Ryzen. How can it help AMD?
How's the Uncore overclocking with this board? I heard it gives a nice boost to performance.
VRM looks good unlike those Asus MSI Gigabutt toys
Quality of VRM is not Intel's responsibility. RAM support is AMD's responsibility.
Steam is telling an opposite story
Since we're comparing mainstream platforms, Steam >>> Passmark
Yes. Waiting for Volta lol
