AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Tested on Z490 Platform With Resizable BAR (AMD's SAM) Enabled

I don't know if it's a game issue or AMD driver issue, but I would assume they did the test in borderless as the game is very insistent in using that mode (at least it does for me). As to why having SAM on made a difference (assuming they used borderless both times), is that there is some...

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Tested on Z490 Platform With Resizable BAR (AMD's SAM) Enabled

It's because RDR2 will stutter every once in a while when playing in window borderless mode. In full screen, Vulkan does not have this issue and DX does not have this issue in either mode.

Intel Rocket Lake-S CPU Benchmarked: Up to 22% Faster Compared to the Previous Generation

My point, and yours, is on what we're referring to as the results. I think you're splitting a hair by calling a benchmark result (i.e. the final number) "interpretation". While you do not seem to think that and the way the final number is tallied is an interpretation of the individual tests...

Intel Rocket Lake-S CPU Benchmarked: Up to 22% Faster Compared to the Previous Generation

Yet you said (originally) that they have not changed the results, which they have and which is my point. The output score of a benchmark is not normally referred to as an "interpretation". It's normally referred to as the result. What is done with the final score is the interpretation part as...

Intel Rocket Lake-S CPU Benchmarked: Up to 22% Faster Compared to the Previous Generation

But they have by the very quote I used in my last post. Why are you trying to make a distinction where there is not one?

Intel Rocket Lake-S CPU Benchmarked: Up to 22% Faster Compared to the Previous Generation

Actually they do say it's about the tests: "Here you see that the previous rating was split with 60% of the score being tests of quad-core level performance, while the single-core comes in at 30% and higher than quad-core labeled 'multi-core' being 10%. Now we move right and find that the...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080/3090 Founders Edition Sales Limited to BestBuy in the US

What is it? 3 months from production until Nvidia has actual chips? Sounds like they got enough chips to beat the AMD launch. I suggest that the reason Nvidia did this was so they could change more for their cards. Since AMD would be at parity given the same cards and would not sell for as...

Microsoft Releases Flight Simulator Patch Improving Performance By 10%

It's not DX12 because the game was not originally designed by Microsoft and, if I remember correctly, was originally began before DX12 even came out.

Intel DG2 Discrete Xe Graphics Block Diagram Surfaces

Intel has never been serious about 3D. They weren't the last time they did a discrete card and I don't expect anything to change because it would require a change in the corporate culture.

Intel DG2 Discrete Xe Graphics Block Diagram Surfaces

Anyone old enough to remember that Intel's last foray in to graphics was a joke. I expect nothing different this time (if it actually materializes of which I'm very doubtful).

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Unboxing & Preview

@Wizzard Has nVidia stated if the 12 pin connector is some how different from the molex connector 0430251200? It appears to be keyed the same too. https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/molex/0430251200/WM1788-ND/252501

Intel Xe Graphics to Feature MCM-like Configurations, up to 512 EU on 500 W TDP

Samsung produces chipsets, TSMC produces nothing for Intel (at least that I could find). None of these so called rumors have said anything about the GPUs being made in another foundry. This "Intel is going to produce a discrete GPU" things keep coming up every 5 years or so and never...

Intel Xe Graphics to Feature MCM-like Configurations, up to 512 EU on 500 W TDP

I'll ask it again: Where are they going to make these GPUs at since they are capacity constrained with the CPUs? Are people really expecting Intel to stop making CPUs in which they have such a high markup on to sell a few GPUs that will not even come close? And please don't say at Samsung...

Intel Unveils Xe DG1-SDV Graphics Card, Demonstrates Intent to Seriously Compete in the Gaming Space

Except the GPU was made in Intel fabs, not some one elses. It would be very time consuming to port it to another fab.

Intel Unveils Xe DG1-SDV Graphics Card, Demonstrates Intent to Seriously Compete in the Gaming Space

Lets ask the obvious question: If Intel is struggling to keep up with demand with their CPUs since all of their fabs are running at full capacity, then where is there room to make a GPU?

Probably the best video out there about how CPUs are made (Silicon Run)

The video starts at 2:56: The video was made by HP and Intel and is a little dated (from the 90s), but it's still relevant. It also shows how the notion of "adding on 2 cores" is nonsensical, what can go wrong in making integrated circuits, how the circuits are built, what a metal layer is...

Principled Technologies' Response to Allegations of Horse Manure Data Disingenuous

They're about as independent as Sysmark is. In that Intel supplies the software engineers. AMD, nVidia, and VIA were all also part of Sysmark. We all know how biased Sysmark is, PT is nothing more then Sysmark with a new face. Is PT owned by Intel? Of course not! They just supply PT with all...

Principled Technologies' Response to Allegations of Horse Manure Data Disingenuous

@btarunr PT is an Intel funded consortium much like Sysmark is. tl;dr: Intel is required to say that benchmarks that favor their stuff unfairly with certain words per FCC settlement of AMD v Intel. Said phrase is found at the end of the PT document. It wasn't an accident. It was Intel up to...

AMD Readying a 10-core AM4 Processor to Thwart Core i9-9900K?

Your ability to understand how to make a silicon die is quite the laughter. If it was really this simple, what are you doing on here? You should be telling AMD how they're leaders are idiots and you should be running the company.
