    Looking for MS Office

Agree. It's the blood letting every year I'd like to avoid. The tell is if the download link is from MS itself. The last time I got an Office 19 licence on the cheap, it was downloaded from MS directly and actvated with the code sent, no issues, still going strong on a MS Surface 3

    Looking for MS Office

I'd rather "own" the software while it's still relatively current @thebluebumblebee ... talk about timely! Hahaha thanks. https://www.techpowerup.com/281062/godeal24-announces-april-software-sale

    Looking for MS Office

There were a few ads here for MS Widows 10 and MS Office on the cheap. Are they still out there?

    [WTB][US] Webcam

Thread can be closed. I picked up a $15.99 webcam from Amazon. It works great for my purposes.

Yea, I posted thinking someone might have one kicking around from the likes of Logitech or Microsoft.

    [WTB][US] Webcam

As everyone hopes here, free. Joking... say sub $40. I may only use it for a short while working at home. Just don't have enough desk space to have the laptop open along with two monitors.

    Found

So you're looking for a PCI graphics card (no PCIe). I think I read that correctly?

Looking for a decent used webcam. Have a one on the laptop, but my dual monitor work setup at home won't let me use it - lack of space.

Samsung to Introduce OLED-Powered Laptops With Under-Display Webcam

Both LG and Samsung as well as others are focusing a lot more on OLED laptop displays this past quarter, as the cost to produce panels continues to drop. And emiiter chemistry is constantly being worked on. The holy grail is are long life blue emitters. Samsung is rumored to be working on a TV...

Samsung to Introduce OLED-Powered Laptops With Under-Display Webcam

That sucks. My Galaxy S7 suffered from burn in after about a year, but it's still quite useable. I've had a Galaxy S9 for over a year now and not a trace. LG and Samsung have continued to improve on OLED lifespan, so hopefully those stories will be a thing of the past.

    No update, so good results?

Samsung to Introduce OLED-Powered Laptops With Under-Display Webcam

I suspect they are using a flexible substrate. The iPhone 12 does too, but then they put glass on it as a protector, how ironic. Then again, smartphones are much more likely to get scratched, hence the glass.

MSI JSPI1 Firmware Recovery (Flashcat / Raspberry Pi)

What X370 board? I think I had to have the power supply ON ...as recommended by Embeddedcomputers.net... because of that amperage requirement. They came out with a new version that supplies a little more

Samsung to Introduce OLED-Powered Laptops With Under-Display Webcam

Not if you're a conspiracy theory type  I think the best news is the OLED itself, lighter thinner and unmatched quality. Even if you're still afraid of burn-in. Having the camera closer to the center of the screen would also make video chats more "personal" - you would be looking more...

    CoolerMaster HAF 932 case club!

I retired my case and salvaged all of the fans along with some hardware. Hard to believe it's been 10 years. What a great case it was, just too big and heavy

What is the oldest piece of continually running hardware you currently use with your rig?

Cool thread. Lot's of speaker systems still hanging around, including myself: Klipsch Pro Media 4.1 from 1998-ish. Logitech G5 from 2005

AMD Announces the Radeon RX 6000 Series: Performance that Restores Competitiveness

I wonder if the undervolting days will be gone with big navi? With the Vega 64 it's the only way to really overclock, and wow does it overclock!

How are PCIE lanes alotted to components?

PCIe lanes aren't shared. If the chipset and board support a certain number of lanes, that's it. Its the lesser of the two. If the CPU supports 16... then you'll get either 1x16 OR 2x8 OR 1x8+2x4. As long as the motherboard supports at least the same. If you have another device using any lanes...
