Does Spatial Sound interfere with DTS Connect?

Maybe, but the problem is there is no real incentive for hardware makers to invest time and money with costly development (and testing) of drivers for their legacy, out-of-production (obsolete?) products and devices. They get $0.00 returns on those costly investments. Since the ASUS P6X58D-E...

    Duff PSU?

If the load on the UPS is bigger than it carry, then it is supposed to shut down! The UPS has to assume that you have done your homework and don't put a load on it that exceeds its capacity because an excessive load (current demand) could indicate a fault - a short somewhere in the connected...

Does Spatial Sound interfere with DTS Connect?

I am not sure your issue is Microsoft's fault. Mine just changed settings. Changing them back resolved my problem so that, IMO, was Microsoft's fault. All settings should be preserved through updates AS LONG AS the drivers don't need updating. But drivers are the hardware makers'...

    Gaming TV

Well sure. If money is the driving factor. But TVs typically don't have the response times, refresh rates or other factors that gamers seek. I don't want to get into a debate over which is better. It is just too subjective. What is better for one may not be for another. I just "personally" see...

    Gaming TV

If to be used "purely for PC gaming", why waste money for a TV? TVs include tuners and other expensive features that do nothing for PC gaming, except add to the cost. You should get a monitor.

    Duff PSU?

3.206V at idle is okay, but I agree under load is a bit low (though still within acceptable tolerances). While it would be a rare event when both graphics cards, all RAM sticks, motherboard, CPU, all drives, and all fans are all demanding maximum power at the same moment, the power supply must...

    Duff PSU?

But one can lead to the other. When you stress a PSU, it can over heat and it becomes unstable. This further increases heat which makes it even more unstable. But note too, if you do the math, he is using two power hungry graphics cards. When they are pushed and demanding the most power, they...

Asus Strix RX570 4G Gaming BIOS

Again, you are not following. :( Sorry. Perhaps someone else can explain better. Good luck.

Asus Strix RX570 4G Gaming BIOS

You are not following. I did not explain myself too well. If you revert back to the integrated, then install the card, it should [hopefully] reset the card's BIOS. Remember, there is no CMOS/BIOS battery on a graphics card supplying voltage to hold settings. If you don't have integrated, you...

    Duff PSU?

A multimeter is not conclusive. For one, it is difficult to measure across a full range of loads with a multimeter. Plus, you cannot measure for proper ripple suppression with most multimeters. A power (watt) meter is not really going to help you much here either. This is because the power...

Asus Strix RX570 4G Gaming BIOS

Since this card is not listed in your System Specs, not sure what motherboard you have. If the motherboard supports integrated graphics, revert to that, make sure it works, then start over installing this card.

    Duff PSU?

What are you measuring that with? Note according to the ATX Form Factor Standard, a ±5% tolerance spread is allowed. That means the ranges following are acceptable: +12V1DC ±5% = +11.40 to +12.60 V +5VDC ±5% = +4.75 to +5.25 V +3.3VDC ±5% = +3.14 to +3.47 V As you can see, your +11.30V is too...

    ViewSonic XG2401 loses signal/gets pixelated

That suggests the problem is with the computer/graphics solution and not the monitor itself. Cables don't suddenly go bad without some sort of physical abuse. Connectors can come loose however, if not tight in the first place. I recommend you swap in a different monitor and see what happens...

Does Spatial Sound interfere with DTS Connect?

Sorry, I don't use that configuration. I was just commenting that the update reverted my Windows sound settings back to 2.1. I actually have the Logitech Z560 THX Certified 4.1 Speaker System, not a 5.1. An truely excellent speaker system for a computer sound system but the electronics for these...

Does Spatial Sound interfere with DTS Connect?

Actually, it does not work that way. If you (as a company) want to support Dolby in your products, you have to pay Dolby. Dolby does not pay you. I also had my surround sound killed, but not Realtek. Realtek was still my audio manager. The problem was actually with my speakers. I had to...

    downgrading options(solved) not downgrading now

That's smart. I do recommend you wait until you can buy everything at once. I have seen too often where folks buy their components piecemeal over several months - "so they don't spend the money on something else." That introduces several problems. The most important is the warranty starts on...

    My XFX290X partly died today.

Very true. That's why I don't put much stock in "user reviews". Happy people don't complain. And yes, XFX as been good to me too.

    downgrading options(solved) not downgrading now

I stopped playing the waiting game because there is always something newer and better just around the corner. So when I am ready to upgrade, I just go for the latest and best my budget allows.

    downgrading options(solved) not downgrading now

Just remember, DDR5 will require a new motherboard and maybe a new CPU to support it. And a new motherboard constitutes a new computer and that most likely means a new Windows license since OEM and upgrade licenses are not "legally" transferable to new computers under any circumstances. Only...

No video + little power to USB ports

Check with a trusting friend. If the budget does not allow you get a spare PSU, then the budget would really take a hit if you spent good money on a new graphics card or other component only to find out you have the same problem due to lousy power. Remember, everything inside your computer...

    downgrading options(solved) not downgrading now

FTR, downsizing to something smaller and more compact does NOT in any way imply it is a downgrade. With adequate cooling and good planning, you can "upgrade" to a more powerful and better computer even if moving into a smaller and more compact case.

Okay, but I don't see a question. Are you looking for some advice here?

No video + little power to USB ports

With one of these. Of course, it does not measure current, but unless I smell "that" burning electronics smell, it is pretty safe to assume (at least for the time being) if the correct voltage is present, the necessary current is available too. I keep this in my tool bag for house calls.

No video + little power to USB ports

What does that mean? And how do you know it is "limited"? Ditto! :) @Jez :) You need to swap in a known good power supply and see what happens.
