No. I never said any thing like that. Sorry wrong tree.

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

I think you and I are involved in two separate conversations. I posted a picture that regardless of the version of DirectX it (being the game) was made with was at the time being rendered USING DirectX 10 and in my humble opinion I said it (being the game) looked better in 10 than in 9.

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

I never said I magically or otherwise did anything. The settings (including gamma) are the default they are exact with the only difference being the OS and therefore the DirectX version is different. Edit~ Oh and the video card drivers would be different as well.

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

I was simply pointing out that it isn't using 11, and that IMHO it DOES what your saying it shouldn't or couldn't or can't. Here are the only two ss's I have at the moment. I will try to get some more of detailed interior shots of something to compare. 8 AM on the tower on Windows XP on top...

    Where did I go wrong?

I unlocked it, now I have a new green LED light on the board. So what should I shoot for here?

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

The only part I don't completely agree with is it will not look better. I think is does, with the same settings, because I have XP and Win 7 and I can see a difference. At any rate.:toast: PS The version of Win 7 that I have (RC 7100) also shows DirectX 10 in all the places I have looked, I...

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

Yes I believe that to be correct, however stand by...I am sure someone will note to the contrary. I wonder myself if more things in the future with go down the path that the game Call of Juarez took.

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

Of course you know had I posted that and said it was full DirectX 9 someone would have picked up on the fact that I am running Win 7 and this would have conspired in the reverse.

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

I know what your saying, I did not imply you are being a jerk or whatever, however if I was running it using 9, I would have posted it as such, in spite of the fact that the game does not render using the features of 10 there is a dramatic increase in the quality of display and it is indead...

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

I am running a machine that is using DirectX 10. Therefore it is displayed as such. My statement while technically misleading is non the less correct sir. I corrected the original post to accommodate your nay-say.

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

So how does DirectX 10 turn into DirectX 9?
  13. D

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

Does, when your running Windows 7.

TechPowerUp Screenshot Thread (MASSIVE 56K WARNING)

Fallout 3 - Win7 64 - Full DirectX 10 (even if the game uses DirectX 9 - it is displayed by being run through DirectX 10's architecture) - 1680x1050 - Ultra settings

    What monitor to choose?

I have this monitor ---> http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4150171&CatId=12 Add $40 dollars more and collar the 24" if you can and so desire. I can tell you honestly that it is worth every penny! Not a dead or stuck pixel one! Buy a good DVI cable and...

186.24 beta aggressively changing clock profiles

So the general consensus is that the 186.24 is not worth the change? I am wondering does it give you any additional adjustable settings or not? Now that nTune is integrated into the Nvidia System Monitor program alot of the features that nTune had available are no longer. I am wanting to have...

    Where did I go wrong?

Got the benchmarking done. Here is the results. http://service.futuremark.com/home.action?resultId=1218120&resultType=19 On to the next task.

    Where did I go wrong?

Man this 3DMarkVantage download still has 44 mins left. I could have flown to England, and went to and internet cafe copied it off a server onto a flash drive and flown home faster than this. I will post some more SS with what the re-pin changed in the BIOS.

    Where did I go wrong?

Thanks. Two 4830's should play nice. I am kinda bummed out about the fact my first 'new generation' SLI will have to be 1 16x and 1 8x, but oh well, maybe by the time I can free up enough clams for a second video card I will grab up a 780 board or something as well. What I mean by 'new...

    Where did I go wrong?

Well re-pinning it drastically changed the BIOS setup. I am waiting for my benchmark program to download (yea it does say 1 hours and whatever...) but in the meantime I ran and received 12900 VirtualMarks. Not bad as the closest match was some an i7 920 running a 295 GTX. Well see what happens...

    Where did I go wrong?

Ok here is what I got: Main page: [/IMG] Cell Menu : [/IMG] XFX J0C1 - OC Function: [/IMG] Now if i can just find the J0C1 pin!

    Where did I go wrong?

So obviously the screen shots of the OC options would be of the most use, correct? Cuz I can see that will take some effort to upload so I don't wanna waste time on irrelevant SS's.

    Where did I go wrong?

Colour me pansy. I just wanted to tweak the memory and a few mild settings, I'll call it Lite-OC, for the whimpy! Oh and BTW I think I found out what the deal is, apparently there is a PIN on the MOBO that prevents OC'ing that must be switched to allow the tweaking to commence, thank...

    Where did I go wrong?

The XFX site lists a v1.3 bin file and a v1.41 iso file. I have applied the v1.41. Yet the alot of the options are not selectable, I know it's hard to see in the screen shots I uploaded. I am using the 186.18 Nvidia drivers release as well, I think I will just leave it alone before I screw it up...

186.24 beta aggressively changing clock profiles

Where on earth did you find 186.24? The most current beta on Nvidia site is 186.08 and the WHQL is 186.18.
