Thermalright Intros Revised Archon CPU Cooler

it's pretty clear John Doe has no clue about heatsink history; been testing heatsinks since GlobalWin FOP38 on Athlon T-bird Socket 462 (60mm 4000rpm screamer); before introduction of copper heatsinks and heat pipes. Since then I've tested and reviewed more than 150 heatsinks (...

Thermalright Intros Revised Archon CPU Cooler

uhm. :wtf: not quite. Thermalright TRUE is a very good heatsink, but it definitely did not create nor pioneer anything. It borrowed from competition and perfected the balance heatpipe <> fins density. when the first tower coolers were released, thermalright was surprised that they...

Thermalright Intros Revised Archon CPU Cooler

uhm; JFYI Thermalright was not a pioneer of tower-type heatsinks, in fact they were one of the late comers; Coolermaster , Scythe and others all had tower type heatsinks while Thermalright was holding on to the "top-down" design; Their XP-120 and XP-90C were top-down designs that were introduced...

    Nvidia/ATi: Differences in Reviews.

thanks Wizzard; I don't see where I offended, but OP is not alone is asking the question why the different reviews offer such different outcomes; the test setup is crucial to answer this question; in case of Crysis testing there are large differences because of OS, AA levels, Quality Settings...

    Nvidia/ATi: Differences in Reviews.

? que. Where do I hide that fact? he calls out the review, but fails to do some proper research on the subject. THe fact is that under XP the X2 vs GTX280 plays out different compared to X2 vs GTX280 under Vista. yes because if you don't have a high post count, your opinion doesn't count, we...

    Nvidia/ATi: Differences in Reviews.

in games where CF scales you'll see a nice lead over GTX280, in games where CF fails it will be good as a single HD 4870, which is slower than GTX280.

    P45 vs x38/x48 for Crossfire

sorry for the bump but this issue needs addressing, the findings by TweakTown are far from final or conclusive; Legionhardware did their own tests and the difference between P45 <> X48 is 5% in best case scenario.
