    Starcraft II Clubhouse

Well, yeah, I'm at work right now. 11 hours from now is 8:30PM my time, which tends to be roughly when I'm online too. :)

    Starcraft II Clubhouse

Hay you guys! Anyone that wants to play, feel free to hit me up. Neekappa - 661 - NA server. Gold-level Zerg, which means I'm not particularly good but I have fun with it. :D

    "GoldenEye Reloaded" Ohh Hell Yes

Man. When I went into college, the N64 was just being released. My roommate was lucky enough to get one along with 4 controllers, Mario 64, and GoldenEye. The next 3 years, 4 guys on a couch and a couple bean bags played GoldenEye. Power weaposn. License to kill. In the Complex. We'd play...

    Any avid Starcraft II players?

I looked around and couldn't really find any threads about the game. It's about a year old now, but with healthy esports exposure, there seem to be LOTS of people still playing Starcraft II. I'm one of them, and I'm curious who else here is, too? I'm not great at all, don't get me wrong...

AMD Fusion A8-3850 GPU Performance Analysis

Is it all the same production process? I know Redwood is 40nm, but I thought all of Llano was 32nm?

AMD Fusion A8-3850 GPU Performance Analysis

That's what Trinity is for, and it'll come eventually, and hopefully it'll maintain socket backward compatibility.

    CM Storm Enforcer

Not the 690 II Advanced, for sure, as that's the case I own. The 3.5" drive bays are in one contiguous rack, and 2.5" drives are installed on plastic adapters into the 3.5" bays. One thing I noticed just looking at the pictures in the review, it appears that installing 2.5" drives on their own...

Patriot Torqx 2 128 GB SSD

I wonder if it's the controller or the flash chips, though. If these are the same flash chips as what's in the iPad, those are certainly no speed demons.

Intel Acknowledges SSD 320 Series ''8 MB Bug''

First post on this page seems to imply that you can secure erase to resurrect it. http://communities.intel.com/thread/22227?start=60&tstart=0

Intel Acknowledges SSD 320 Series ''8 MB Bug''

Same as everybody else. It's not specific to Intel. And, more to the point, it's * precisely* why I refuse to buy OCZ drives. They denied Vertex 3/Agility 3 bugs after other companies were fixing the same issues in firmware. It took them until June to make a firmware update and even then it...

    Zotac Z68-ITX WiFi

These are adorable but I can't help but wonder why there haven't been takers on the mini ITX Llano front yet? One of these with a 65W variant seems like the peanut butter and chocolate of a very tasty HTPC Reese's peanut butter cup. Probably someone, somewhere is cooking up such a design...

OCZ Introduces RevoDrive 3 Series PCI-Express SSDs

I wonder if it'll BSOD once it hits that maximum throughput, like the Vertex 3. ;) OCZ is not a vendor I'd ever buy an SSD from (or anything else for that matter). Wish Corsair or Intel would get on this bandwagon and show them how it's done.

    ASRock Giving PCI-Express 3.0 A Big Push

Well now since I posed the question, I started Googling. The first thing I found was the Wikipedia article about ASRock (which may or may not be up to date, and is fairly short) and it says nothing about this, and actually mentions ASUS as the parent company. But then xbit Labs has a fairly...

    ASRock Giving PCI-Express 3.0 A Big Push

Yowza. Isn't ASROCK owned by ASUS in some way (I've long thought that, even if it's not true, but their UEFI implementation is as awesome as ASUS's, which only serves to make me think it more)? That would put them in 2 of the top 3 spots, right? Also, I'll take all the USB ports I can get as...

AM3 was for bringing DDR3 to CPUs with DDR3 memory controllers.

Multiple Xboxes in one house, same networkm one profile

I think if both machines have the same IP, both get knocked offline. You can try this with PCs and you should see the same result with the Xbox. This is why having Xbox Live Gold as a requirement for for Netflix is stupid on Microsoft's part, because it's a huge inconvenience to users.

    Hackintosh

If you want to see the results of similar builds (as well as see some "recommended" builds from Hackintosh guys who really have a grasp on the situation) check out tonymacx86 forums. One word of advice: skip Fermi for a Hackintosh. The only Fermi card available for the Mac is a Quadro, and...

    AMD FX-8130P Processor Benchmarks Surface

no, since I left work 5 and a half hours ago, you made a page and a half of...well, you're still saying 10-30% and avoiding other questions at all costs. You made a page and a half of "my head hurts." ;)

    AMD FX-8130P Processor Benchmarks Surface

You guys are still going? I've gone home from work, ate dinner, played with my daughter, put her to bed, done some reading with my wife, and played some Starcraft II. And you haven't made any progress.

    ASUS M5A99X Evo AM3+

With my M5A97 EVO, I'm finding there's so much in the menu that can affect power consumption without ever touching base voltage values, and alot of it I don't even know what it does. I just know that the BIOS says "this will help stability when overclocking" and apparently ti's right - 4GHz on...

    AMD FX-8130P Processor Benchmarks Surface

The memory controller has always been traditionally part of the north bridge. It's moving a north bridge feature onto the same silicon. By your logic, Intel's Core 2 line "shared computing resources", which is silly and disingenuous. Except for your arbitrary definition where they have to...

    AMD FX-8130P Processor Benchmarks Surface

devguy - this is the first time actual computing resources are shared. Well, second. And Intel was smart - they called it "HyperThreading" and were up-front about what was going on. Assimilator - Ivy Bridge will not be out this year. To say it will be out "by then" (assuming you mean Zambezi...
