    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Why would we bother otherwise?

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    If you can do something like this, why don't you send us the card first? The TNT employee will basically hand me the card when we prepare the faulty one for shipment. It would make things much better.

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    So basically it will take us around 2.5-3 weeks. What do you think we should do in the meantime? I'm a student majoring Computer Sciences, and this is my only computer and GPU. And my mo/bo doesn't have an onboard GPU.

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Will we send our card first? How will it take for the total process to happen if this is the case? ie. my card arrives to you, you prepare the new card, I receive the new card etc.

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Again, great customer service. 7000 series will come out before we even manage to communicate with them, let alone doing the actual RMA.

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    7 workdays is the time RMA will be issued. I'm pretty much certain the time between I send my card and I receive the new one will be at least 3 weeks. This is officially a move from PowerColor that does not show ANY sign of compensation for our problem. They are basically unloading a big...

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Anyone who has some knowledge about this topic knows that a 'working' 6950 PCS++ is essentially a 6970, so its not an upgrade. We don't want it. They should send us a brand new 6950 PCS++, and they should send it FIRST. I'm not gonna wait weeks without a PC and pay on top of it because of their...

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    It is simply unacceptable. Even though they give you a 6970 doesn't make it fair. You're simply paying the extra cash in terms of shipping. I will not pay even 1 extra cent to get what I should have gotten when I purchased the card in the first place. I want the working card in my hands...

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    If this is the case, I'll be grateful. However, an added bonus wouldn't hurt :p (yes I AM greedy :D)

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    I think they expect us to send ours first. If it is like you explained, thats the thing I want.

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Yes I understand that too, but why do I have to suffer because of their faulty card? I simply can't spend more than 5 days without a card and a working PC. As its their fault they'd better compensate us rather than just saying 'ok send your card and we'll replace'. The replacement theyre sending...

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Ok there are a few things that still need answering: Firstly, will we pay the fee for mail, and how long will it take? Assuming it will take 2 weeks at least, what will we get in the end? The product we wanted to buy in the first place! We will spend the 2+ weeks without a GPU, and in the...

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    The thing is, Ive tried one a few days ago, and it didn't work. However, trying again doesn't hurt :D If you could upload to any file hoster that would be great.

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Ok got it. I might not be using stock bios right now. Gotta update my bios version when I fix that
  15. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Yeah you currently using that?
  16. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Are you by any chance using the 2. switch right now? My Bios is 013.010.000.002.000000 and OpenCL checked. There might be a problem with OpenCL'ed cards.
  17. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Just a question: what is your "BIOS version" in GPU-Z, and is OpenCL enabled (has tick) at the very bottom?
  18. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Well, manual flashing didn't work for me at all. It first gave me "subsystem IDs mismatch" at first, and when I force-flashed, my PC didn't boot at all. So nope, I cannot flash to a 6970 BIOS with my card at all. And yeah, I can probably get it to original configuration. I saved my original...

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Well, I'll try both just to be safe ^^ I really hope it works! :D However, the thing I'm worried about is that, a friend sent me his 1st bios (the 6970 one) on his 6950 PCS++, and mine didn't flash to it, and it was a different bios than what I had originally.
  20. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Ok wait, I didn't understand this though. So do I have to reinstall drivers to reset the card's bios, and then try switching to 1st slot and check using the newest CPU-Z? (not GPU-Z?) Or, do I have to reinstall drivers of the card after I switched the bios slot?
  21. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    How will we prove this though? I tried to flash that bios to 6970 myself, then flashed back to 6950 using the techpowerup easy-flash tool, so my BIOS is "modified" according to their standards.

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    You guys dont understand. Theyre not unlockable, theyre unlocked by DEFAULT. Yet mine was not.
  23. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    I tried ofcourse and it didn't work, as explained in detail above. The default 6950 PCS++ 6970 bios didn't work aswell.
  24. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Yet we are talking about the PCS++ model, and every review says the 2nd bios has unlocked shaders by default. Also, people with the card sent me their bios aswell as stating it shows 1536 Shaders in GPUZ.
  25. O

    Problem with 6950 PCS++ "Flashing"

    Actually, the first batch of the cards had 6970 bios aswell as I figured out. A few people sent me their factory 2nd bios which is the 6970 one, with all the shaders unlocked etc. however it still didn't work on mine. I guess the newer versions can't be unlocked.
