Vega Shows Up Beating a GTX 1080 in CompuBench, But Hold the Hypetrain

So, according to what i've read, Hype == tpu forum posts Hype != what amd said Facts == tpu forum posts Market reaction == tpu forum posts You know I cannot do anything but eat pop corn while reading about your special sandbox at the forums. Since you are talking about tpu hype then, don't be...

Vega Shows Up Beating a GTX 1080 in CompuBench, But Hold the Hypetrain

There was shortage everywhere, cpu, motherboars, well escpecially motherboards, ram prices are too high yet ppl built systems like crazy and this was not even the budget or midrange cpu, it was the 300+$ market. You can't pretend that there was a significant number of ppl who returned their...

Vega Shows Up Beating a GTX 1080 in CompuBench, But Hold the Hypetrain

According to your 480 review, you'd rather steal and get some more money to buy a novidia card. So, why would you suggest something opposing the site's long tradition of novidia loving? I told you before, on some pr thing you usually have here as an article, that the last year you had almost...

NVIDIA to Steal AMD's Ryzen Limelight on Feb 28

It's not nvidia who wishes it, it's nvidiots who wishes it. Look, why would anyone ever think that a release of an already released chip with different configuration would be any newsworthy?(or even capable to make you attend to its presentation) I'll tell you why it's newsworthy... Because tpu...

AMD GPUs See Lesser Performance Drop on "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" DirectX 12

This reply goes also to the guy saying the there is no visual difference. Just imagine this: We have the card A, card A gives us X fps with the Y visual effects on a game. When the card A and every next generation of this card is able to draw more fps from the same game, or scene, what do we(us...

AMD Zen Architecture Supports Up to 32 Cores per Socket: Leaked Linux Patch

"Leaked Linux Patch" Every Linux kernel patch gets leaked and every Linux kernel version gets leaks. It is called Open-source Software... ohhh and nothing gets leaked, everything is published on public repositories or in public mailing lists.

App Claims to Blunt Intel's Compiler Edge on AMD Machines

I was in the same situation with several DELL, Mellanox and Intel systems and technologies(actually that cpu+fpga thing from intel was introduce to us 2,5 years ago) that were introduced to us inside dark rooms when I was working at CERN, but it didn't forbid me to buy a CPU from the shelf and...

App Claims to Blunt Intel's Compiler Edge on AMD Machines

It could be news only if this came back again. It appeared a couple of times, iirc, in the past. The bad thing is that the only proper compiler in windows is icc, for those that don't want to mess around cygwin or mingw ecosystem and use gcc, and the next useful compiler is the Microsoft one...

App Claims to Blunt Intel's Compiler Edge on AMD Machines

I bet those less popular tech sites that buy the h/w themselves from all vendors are doing it all wrong. I've seen more whining here than reviews. It's hard to believe that a tech site does not even have a phenom ii at least laying around to check this or even a 4 year old bulldozer to check...

    PowerColor Launches Radeon R9 390 X2 Devil13 Dual-GPU Graphics Card

Titan Z and Titan Black are nowhere in any charts, nowhere in the market and both products had 0 lifespan. on the other hand, r9 295x2 is still up and thriving.

    PowerColor Launches Radeon R9 390 X2 Devil13 Dual-GPU Graphics Card

I guess benches and amd engineers say the opposite, but a random claim in a forum about the name change is probably true.

Toshiba Announces World's First 12.5-Inch 4K Ultra HD Convertible Laptop

4k is false naming. QHD is also a made up term. Ultra HD apparently means the same thing or not? It seems that companies are trying to keep people less and less informed. A simple 1080p or 1080i could tell a lot about a monitor/tv with a simple number and a letter. 2160p or 2160i is as simple...

Toshiba Announces World's First 12.5-Inch 4K Ultra HD Convertible Laptop

4K Ultra HD wtf does this even mean? what's next, 8K Very HD display? It's either 4K or Ultra HD which mean the same thing. I don't even want to think what's their target group of these products.

AMD Announces the Radeon R9 Nano Graphics Card

I like this logic, don't buy a Ferrari when you can buy 2 cheap Mercedes with the same amount of money. I bet 2x 3.5 GB 970, considering the Dx12 bench and the win10 issues are the real deal nowadays. ...and if nVidia decides to support a different technology in their bloatware, you'll have...

    Intel "Skylake" Die Layout Detailed

Actually you don't. Using a GPU while browsing, fapping, e.t.c. consumes much more power than having the iGPU enabled and turning on and off the dGPU for the heavy staff. Also, your dGPU lives longer, unless you use nVidia and nVidia decides when to cripple your h/w.

AMD GPUs Show Strong DirectX 12 Performance on "Ashes of the Singularity"

I know a lot of people running around with donkeys instead of using some modern kind of transportation, but those people who are "stuck" there is also xbmc, far superior than anything out there.
