On Intel and Their $7B White House Affair

So TPU hasn't learned their lesson from past attempts and try to make political pieces again? No one's interested in your edgy political opinions.

EVGA GTX 1070/1080 Overheating Issues - Company Says Thermal Pads A Solution

Luckily the MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X was available in Israel slightly before this, so I got that instead. I always wondered if I should've waited a couple of more days; now I know the answer.

    Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8 GB

I don't understand how the TechPowerUp ratings work. How does this have the same score as the MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X when it's 70$ cheaper and has lower temps? How did the Gaming X even get a 9.8 score for offering nearly the same performance with 120$ over the standard price?

    Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell

Unfortunatly it doesn't work that way. If the GPU is a bottleneck for the system then upgrading he CPU will have next to no effect on performance in games (in most games at least). The higher the resolution the more evident this is because higher resolution alone mostly just increases the load...

    Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell

Why would you test high-end CPUs with such a relatively weak GPU? This makes the gaming benchmark utterly useless...

Asus Ares II HD 7990 6 GB

How the hell did this get an 8.9..? It's weaker than the 690GTX yet costs 60%(!!!) more. By far the lowest performance per dollar of any card. Almost double the power consumption of the GTX 690. It takes three slots + space for the block. I mean come on, how can anyone take that score seriously?

    AMD Catalyst 12.11 Performance Analysis

I don't get it... In this review - http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/HD_7970_Matrix/26.html The 7970 GHz Edition (vanilla) is stronger than the 680 GTX by about 3%. But in the Catalyst review 7970 GHz Edition is about 4% weaker. What gives?

    PowerColor HD 7990 Devil 13 6144 MB

Compared to the 690GTX it has: - Higher temperature - Noisier cooler - About 10% lower performance - Higher power consumption - Triple slot cooler compared to dual slot - Same price - Serious problem with the cooler mounting system - No advantages I guess 8.5 means something different on TPU.

AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1 GB

Is it really that hard to understand why? It's because it shows what kind of business model AMD is trying to create. A new generation mid-range card that is more expensive and less performant than previous generation cards released more than a year and a half ago. There is no excuse.

AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1 GB

Damn straight, that is a horrible card. IMO tt should be sub 7 at the very least, though I guess W1zz would rather not piss AMD off hehe. This card is useless... A mid card with FAR worse performance / price ratio than the last generation. What The F AMD.

    C++ redistributable

The reason why some programs are faster in Java / C# is because of the Just In Time Compiler (JIT), which offers at least 'some' code optimization in basically all scenarios, while C++ relies almost solely on the user to perform equivalent optimizations. (at least while working with ISO/ANSI C++...

Thanks for editing the article. I would like to apologize to btarunr for overreacting on my first post. Didn't think at the time that my post was so drama-queen-esque. I certainly will not read his posts with a grain of salt. :)

Wow, what a pathetic propaganda attempt by btarunr. I don't know much about the political atmosphere in India, but I sure as hell didn't come to tPU to read about THAT. Going to read all of his articles with a grain of salt from now on. Meh.

ECS Black Series A990FXM-A Motherboard Pictured

I never understand why motherboard retailers put a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot as the first one. If someone will actually decides to put three dual slot cards in there, all of the slots will be taken. At least they have two PCI-E 2.0 controllers.
